OT: State Championship
Congrats to my school, Tosa East for winning the state tournament. What a ride it has been. First, losing only one game in the regular season and winning the greater metro conference. Then, with two unbelievable comebacks, beating Custer and King in the sectionals. Then last night to beat Madison Memorial when they had us by the ropes and almost knocked out. I can say with great pride today that I am a part of Wauwatosa East high school. Congrats to Coach Arndorfer, the players, and all the fans who made this possible. It has truly been a magical year.
BTW, Jeronne Maymon is an absolute beast. He almost singlehandedly won the game for madison last night.

I only recently learned that Tosa East's new coach was Arndorfer.
Kind of strange to me as his brother was on my grade school basketball team for 4 years way back in the day. I'm getting old

I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

Was hoping my alum Memorial could pull it out, but it was not to be.
Maymon has not committed yet. Reasons are several, but one of the main issues schools have with him is his academics. Along with that, he is kind of a tweener player (he has absolutely ZERO guard/ball handling/perimeter skills) and he's probably 6-6.5 or so. I do think he will get a Division one offer, but IMO it will not be a high major for the reasons listed.
Vander Blue is the kid that schools have their eye on. He's a young sophomore, not yet 16, and he has a lot of skills. I am hoping the Badgers extend an offer to him for the class of 2010.

Definitly at the game. Tosa East, with one of its least talented teams, won its first state title since 1989.
Devin Harris and Jerry Smith never even made it to State!
Great game though, and I am proud of every player on that team and very happy for Coach Arndorfer. I was in his classroom on his first day of teaching, too.

BTW-I thought I heard Maymon was committed to UW. I can't absolutely verify this but I've heard it from a lot of people.
Considering he has not even been offered by UW, that is a physical impossibility.
