When they get the players together for this 40 Bucks thing, I hope they don't make a big deal of this top five list. I agree the list is bogus, and I believe there are players not on it who might feel slighted by it. There are players who gave more to this city and team and who deserve greater accolades than Ray. Don't make it a competition for christ sakes.

So I was looking for more about Marques and drugs and didn't find much about it. But I did find an 81-82 Sporting News season preview that's online for some reason, saying Marques held out, wanted to be traded and then renegotiated already around this time. http://lkwdpl.org/nworth/bucks1.htm Now I remember Cassell talking about some similar stuff, and although you'd rather not have that it was never a huge deal considering what he brought to the court. Anyone have more about this or the coke? Was he supposed to be into that right away or already after his first year or two? He's kind of being slandered on here that way without details.

I also saw Sid allegedly broke someone's arm with a golf club at his car dealership the year after retiring? Apparently it didn't go all the way through because the article says Arizona had a mandatory sentence for crimes with a weapon. http://search.phoenixnewtimes.com/1992-12-16/news/was-moncrief-playing-d-countersuit-claims-ex-nba-star-was-defending-himself-when-assault-occurred I don't bring this up to slam these guys, they're 2 of the 4 greatest Bucks on the court but I don't know them as people and never tried to guess or expected I would. It's just stuff I hadn't heard that's been skipped over in the history discussions here and maybe someone has more to say about any of it.

I thought Moncrief's car dealership was in Arkansas, not Arizona.

I don't remember full details of either incident (Marques and Sid) so I don't want to say something out of line. Marques was into coke as that was the "cool" drug in the early '80s. I think he may have gotten it from the same supplier to Paul Molitor and other Brewers.
