Why Isn't Sessions Getting Playing Time?

LK had a hand in the Bucks drafting Sessions, so for him to be letting Ramon waste away on the bench when the team is this bad is bizarre. Also didn't Larry Harris proclaim that Sessions would spend the rest of the year in the D-league like the day before he was called up? If he's not going to play send him back to Tulsa so he can help the 66ers in their playoff race (it's not like the Bucks are going to be making one)

Ivey isn't that good; Bell hasn't shown much all season long as a PG so why not play Sessions? What's the worst that can happen? The team could lose?
Gee, there's something that hasn't been happening much this season.
Just throw the kid out there and see what he could do. I realize it makes far too much sense to actually start him so I'm not even asking for that. But give him 10-15 minutes a game as a backup and see what he can do? It's not like your other options are playing so well or the team is playing so well that playing Sessions would constitute taking a major risk.
It's a bizarre backflip considering LK's handling of Yi earlier this season. Perhaps he felt really burned by the ridiculous decision to play a rookie in Yi over CV for so long when he clearly wasn't earning his minutes and thought 'well damn i aint letting that happen again'. Maybe he's had one of his famous 'i forgot who was on the bench' moments. Maybe he still thinks this team has a playoff chance and has a very very low opinion of Ramon, or maybe, just maybe, he is actually THAT bad of a coach.
xtitan I never doubted Buckskins description of the locker room unrest surrounding LK's coaching and player rotations, and we've seen countless examples of why the players were justified in feeling that way. I suspect that situation has probably died down now for a couple of reasons - the playoffs are gone, Mo isn't playing and NO player could possibly now think LK is coming back next season. Half of them are probably hoping they aren't coming back either.
I said it at the time and I'll say it again now, LK was a horrible hire. This team desperately needed a veteran hard nosed coach, and instead they hired the exact opposite. The sooner he is gone the better for the Bucks, although I do wish we could turn back time and keep him as an assistant where I think he did quite a good job. Just the literal polar opposite of what this team needed in a head coach, and will need again in about 3 months.

A bit off topic but while we're ripping on LK anyway... I found an old tape of a Bucks game at home and was trying to figure out when it was from, then I noticed LK on the bench doing his 'I'm the man in charge and I'm not happy' stare. So I figure the game was from the end of last year. Anyway I kept watching and they panned across and there was Stotts pacing the sideline with his bewildered Beaker look happening. I guess LK just looks like that all the time.

I'm not gonna get down on Ivey because I think he's done a better job than Mo, but Sessions really needs at least 5 minutes a game and this is the time to do it.
I look forward to Sessions at starting PG and Mo coming in off the bench ala Harris/Terry in* Dallas.
We've got our Dirk in Yi... All we need now is to find our Josh Howard.
Let Sessions touch the floor.

Sessions would provide the team a spark. Why not do it. Especially when Bell (can't pass worth crap) is running the point and Storey (can't shoot) is playing sf. Let's get a passer in the game by sliding Bell to the 3 and benching Storey to ignite the team.

Trying to remember what Babcock said about Sessions last night......he said he has a very high ceiling, has a chance to be a very good player, extremely coachable and bright, everything they have asked him to work on he has done immediately and improved......needs to get more consistent on his jump shot....not sure they broached the topic of playing time but Babcock and Woelfel both believed he was the major factor in the turn around of the Jazz game. One more thing, Babcock was the first Bucks manage ment type to admit the playoffs were a very longshot at best to happen.

yea he was the general in the 2nd quarter that got us back into the game....but Larry K the genius thought Bell was better at PG even though Bell was hot he has no pg skills at all. He doesnt know how get the ball to the right people he is just not a PG he is only a SG and nothing else.
sometimes it looks as if Larry K is more stupid then Stotts.

Is Sessions a FA after this year? Is it possible they are hiding him so that a team doesn't take a flyer on him and sign him to a bigger deal?
He's signed through 08/09...almost all second rounders sign two-year deals.
I believe next year is NG'ed, at least according to Sham Sports' salary info. GAD could confirm/deny, but obviously there's no way the Bucks wouldn't pick up the option unless he sets Herb's house on fire.

Sessions has a two year deal
I'd really like to hear a RAMON chant on Saturday night, I want to see this kid in action.
And, yes, Babcock had a very glowing report of him.
Thought it was "amazing a second round pick, could come into his second NBA game and provide a stable hand at the point guard. There was one point that there was nothing going on offense, so he dribbled it out, to the top of the key for a reset. Thats some poise for a rookie especially against a very good Western Conference team"
He needs to be getting 20 minutes a night IMO and needs to play ahead of Ivey at this point.
I'd like to see Charlie Bell starting and Ramon the first guard off the bench.
I'd also like to see Simmons get more time as we need to boost his value a bit going into the offseason.

Second-round draft choice Ramon (pronounced ra-MAHN) Sessions has signed a two-year contract with the Bucks today, team officials confirmed.
Sessions, a 6-foot-3 guard from Nevada, was the 56th overall selection in the June draft. He played for the Bucks summer league team and averaged 5.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in four games in Las Vegas in July.
"It was a great learning experience," Sessions said of his time in the NBA Summer League. "The biggest difference is the speed of the game. You've got 7-footers running like guards, and you've got guards running like track stars."

I wonder if Flintstone saw this post a few days ago and got mad, because he had some sweet passes in the Utah game and turned it on from 3 point range.
If so, nice passes CB and keep 'em comin'.
