Including CV is rough in that package, I'm not sure that happens. We certainly can use cap room and a general rebuild, but we're not that desperate (as it'd make it much harder to trade Mo and Gadz who need to go worse than Redd).
Also, if we're taking on Varajao, I bet we'd have to dump his crappier clone in Dan Gadzuric. If he were included instead of Charlie Bell in that deal it'd be a lot closer.
Its time to get real: Send Redd to the Cavs

Didn't think you guys liked Charlie Bell so much, that's why I included him...
As far as Varejao exercising his option...I doubt it. He wasn't very happy with the contract he received and wasn't very happy when the trade was made to bring in Big Ben and Joe Smith... The guy is motivated by money and wants to get paid... Although it was never like that before Dan Fegan got control of him and his brother (who he also represents)...
I don't think you guys realize how good Varejao is... I mean yeah he gets a bad rap for being a "flopper" (even though he's not, most of the time) the guy is one of the few players on the team the last 2-3 years that has had consistently one of the better on/off court stats (not so much this year with holdout and injuries)... The kid is a great player and a guy that any team would love... People hate on him too much and underrate his game and I don't get it... He doesn't have the best physical abilities but gets the most out of them... And if he can continue to develop post moves and his jumper (one that was falling early in the year before his injury) he could be a guy that could do good on offense... And that'd be on top of him being the best pick-and-roll players we have on the team... I seriously think that if he would start on a team and get around 30 minutes a game, he could be a 10&10 guy...
Maybe restructuring it:
Pavlovic
Szcerbiak
Jones
Varejao
for
Redd
Gadzuric
Simmons
That'd be probably the farthest I'd be willing to go.... I just don't feel comfortable losing Varejao and not getting back a good, young, solid big... Although we might lose him when he opts out anyway...

As long as we have Yi Sideshow Bob is a backup.
