I think this might be a PR move. I doubt he expects to get the team back, and dumping a million or so on lawyers is good PR for himself and his starbucks franchise. Plus, think about how long a lawsuit of that nature could be drawn out with high priced lawyers on both side. I would imagine the other lawsuit by the city of Seattle and the Key Arena being more effective.
