Offseason trade idea (Mil Por Wash Phi)

Post#1 » by Redbeardwirc0830 » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:03 pm

Washington
out - darius songaila , deshawn stevenson, oleksiy pecherov
in - charlie bell, josh mcroberts, dan gadzuric, cash from philly

why: this is the one team i wonder about in this deal, but they are adding to the big man depth (which they need) and getting a good deshawn replacement in charlie bell. if something else had to be added like future 2nd i have no problem with that.

Portland
out - joel przybilla, josh mcroberts, travis outlaw
in - oleksiy pecherov, mo williams

why: basically a travis outlaw for mo williams swap...i think we all agree he would be a good fit in portland (from what ive read on this board).

Philadelphia
out - cash to wash
in - deshawn stevenson

why: they will have alot of cap space this summer which allows this trade to work on trade checker. stevenson is a good player and the need another scoring threat out on the three.

Milwaukee
out - dan gadzuric, mo williams, charlie bell
in - travis outlaw, darius songalia, joel pryzbilla

why: songalia and pryz would be welcomed in milwaukee with open arms for their defense alone. basically the bucks get out from mo's contract and open the door for session while adding a great swing player in outlaw.

pg sessions/
sg redd/simmons
sf outlaw/mason/simmons
pf yi/villanueva/songaila
c bogut/pryzbilla

this is a pretty decent lineup in my opinion. if we dont move bobby his deal actually becomes a major asset after next season. we also have a 1st round pick to add to the mix maybe a russel westbrook type. maybe we could eventually alos bring back illyasova then

works on espn trade checker once philly has the cap space

what do you all think about this idea?

Why would Washington trade their best perimeter defender for our long term bench crap?

Why would Philadelphia use cap space on Stevenson when they have Igoudala and Young?

We had Przybilla in the past. Didn't he have harse words toward Milwaukee after the trade? But I would welcome him back. But still rather deal Mo to Miami for Haslem.

Williams would probably be an OK fit, but you're grossly underestimating Pryzbilla's value, and especially his value to portland by saying this a basically "outlaw for williams".

Portland may very well agree to some form of Outlaw for Williams, even though they're pretty high on Outlaw's potential. But They'd never agree to this deal with Pryzbilla included.

Joel liked Milwaukee. He was really bitter at management, though. George Karl gave him the typical George Karl rookie treatment and never warmed up to him.

I agree about Przybilla. His defense, rebounding, size, and shotblocking is something every team in the league would love to have. He's exactly what we all wish Gadzuric was off the bench (ie he doesn't try catching rebounds with his face)
