Chad Ford Talks Yi

Post#1 » by europa » Thu May 8, 2008 8:13 pm

From his chat today:

Greg (Milwaukee): Chad, obviously the verdict is still out, but what do you think of Yi after year one? Perhaps with Skiles at the helm, it seems like he and Bugut could form an impressive 4-5 combo.

SportsNation Chad Ford: Too early to tell. He was great at the start of the season and fell off the map in the second half. I wonder if his agent Dan Fegan is going to push for a trade now that John Hammond is on board and the team will be emphasizing toughness. I still think Fegan prefers to get Yi into a market with more Asians.
Nothing will not break me.

Sounds to me like Chad doesn't have a grasp on the situation at all and BSed his way through that question.

He no longer has contacts, I don't think.

I can wonder, everyone here can wonder.

Horrible response.

What did you expect him to say? I love how these journalists, especially ones that are expected to cover the entire league, get blasted every time they answer a question and don't have anything groundbreaking to offer. What did he say that was inaccurate? He's not the first person to speculate that Fegan is once again making noise and trying to get Yi out of Milwaukee.
