Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
This is probably the first time I have ever been frustrated with Skiles rotations. John Salmons deserved to be benched. Salmons wasn't even close on any of his shots and looks extremely rusty. I'd love to see some reduced minutes until he starts to find his touch again.
Also, LRMAM deserves more PT......for his offense. The guy is actually showing some nice offensive moves in limited action. He attacks the hope under control and gets good positioning for easy layups. He also hit a nice looking jumper. Tried to get a little crazy at the end of the game with shooting off the dribble but other than that he looked great offensively.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Well you sign 2 free agents in that 29-32 year range to long term deals and you add another 30+ guy for 2 years who is selfish on both ends.....not to mention have nobody to back-up either of your 2 best players.....perhaps a little to much optimism to start the season....The Bucks should have signed Dampier, I hear Bogut is 75-80% at best, health wise....would also have liked the Wes Matthews option over any of the vets they signed....Matthews plays both ends of the court and is young.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Damp or any form of backup for Andrew is the ridiculous miss if you ask me...
Hes coming off a horrific arm injury to which for all pre-season there had to be question marks over how he was going to rebound after that and yet they sign Gooden who is really a true PF and Brockman who is way to small to guard the true C's in the league no matter how hard he tries. Last season KT was even slightlyu undersized and as far as im concirned they downgraded from him. Its just asking for trouble IMO.
I was never really happy with the Dooling signing to be honest either thought we couldve done better although the pre-season left me optimistic. Through the first 4 games hes killed us being on the court though...not good to have your book-ends needing to play 35-40 mins every night wether they are stinking it up or not.

I was at the game with excellent seats. Drew Gooden is the worst.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
bottom line for me is this teams overall fitness level is laughable. None of these guys can hit shots because none of them have legs.
Look at maggette, the guy had surgery a few months back yet hes by far the most agressive buck. Why? Because the guy takes pride in his conditioning.
Salmons and Ersan should give their game checks back to the senator.
BJ doesnt look like he improved anything at alll.
Gooden is a dumb douchebag, but at least he showed up in shape.
Skiles is a fool for allowing salmons to play himself into shape.

Just sayin, but the year after we got Salmons and started him at SG, he had a terrible year. Possibly deja vu?

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Jennings passing has improved i believe and his assist numbers would be through the roof if we had guys that could hit a shot. Sometimes ive found him passing a little to much. He said before the season he wanted to average 10 plus assists a game..maybe trying to pass to often. Although i guess thats the better alternative to have 1-12, 3-14 nights and so on..last year it wouldve been amazing but last year Fish wasnt missing 10 shots in a row either..

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Jennings was too passive. He's trying to find the balance and we have a miscast team out there most of the time so it's hard to blame him. What a crappy game. It would be nice if Salmons stopped shooting when it was clear he wasn't getting near it the ring but I guess he felt he needed the practice. For all his faults Gooden looks like he's trying real hard. Ersan looked alive in mostly meaningless minutes and Delfino and Moute were solid. It also seems that LMA has grown a pair. That is huge for Portland.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Id be close to happy if Gooden just settled for that mid ranger that he actually hits with some consistancy..i dont look to him on defence so therefore i cant really be disappointed when i had no expectations to start with. It drives me crazy however when he pump fakes drives with his head down slams into a defender and if by chance he doesnt get called for a foul is so far out of control he just throws it up and hopes for the best...like today when it went over the backboard i mean that was so damn frustrating i actually just laughed..

puhlleeeze. I know we're all in depression mode because of the game tonight, but Jennings has looked much better this season. He may have been passive tonight because of his attempt to get others involved but he's clearly looked much improved this year. His passing has improved, he's taking better shots, his finishing around the rim has been stronger... lets at least get through a week of ball before we all go finding the nearest cliff.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
On any regular night Jennings' passes make for a dozen assists. Bogut alone owes him 2 assists instead of two turnovers.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Well, pretty bad game. But here is a thing, if you have Gooden with 25 minutes and Maggette with the highest score of your team then you probably lost the game. Here that happened. Of course Salmons and Jennings are bad too. Also, I don't know but how many players are covering the power forward position? It is consistently changing. I thought pre-season was over anyway. Really bad game for Bucks. I think Bucks made the error by not trusting the players of the last year. They seem really bored, unexcited. Chemistry is decreasing I guess. One word for Delfino. He was good until Matthews came in. After that he just shot 3-4 shots at most. Consistency is key for him.
Good Thing : Hedo Turkoglu is back in Magic.
Bad Thing : He plays terribly.

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Just a thought but bringing in Gooden, Brockman and to a lesser extent Mags over the summer i would say would be playing a part in Ersans early season form. I mean at the end of last season Ersan was playing at the level bordering on starter but if not definately first of the bench he was cofident, looked extremely active and hustling like he really wanted to be out there.
He worked hard to play that kind of ball last year and how was he rewarded? By seeing 3 guys come in that effectively have just sunk him further back in the roations..he doesnt look as active and dosnt look to be at all enjoying himself..
I was a big fan of our roster and i still am im not gonna lose for a start that i expected even if im still disappointed..but if this dosnt pan out the way we hoped that will be how we look back on it. We all new when we saw the players we got in we were going for immediate success with high risk of going nowhere but lets hope Ersan gets his mojo back and these boys start clicking because it could start to become a frustrated locker room with no seasoned vets like last year..(stack and kt

+1. Ersan having some mental issues regarding his game and his worth for the team. Yes, he is guilty too for his performance but Bucks organization didn't give him the enough appreciation. So, the result is inevitable.

A horrible game coupled with an empty Bradley Center. Just depressing.

And on Saturday night the clocks get set back an hour giving Milwaukee an extra hour of bar time. No doubt that will hurt attendance.
It will hurt also the internet attendance

Tonight's game started at 1 a.m. here in Italy, so I could watch it. After Saturday, most of Bucks games will start at 2 a.m., it's a tough pill to swallow

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Its been about 3 hours since I watched the game after staying away from all Basketball related sites all day at school and I come home and watch this. Are you kidding me!
I had a friend over (An avid Bulls supporter) and all he could do was laugh at our 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter.
Drew Gooden please gtfo. He throws up some of the most ridiculous shots, thinking he is Michael Jordan 2.0.
After Boguts rough start I really thought he was going to get it going, until he saw the bench for the next 8 minutes. I really wish Skiles would let our players play when they get it going, rather than sticking with the same rotation. I thought Carlos was going to have a stellar game and then he seemingly disappeared. And don't get me started on Salmons.
All in all I am very disappointed as most of you are. Ill be following the play by play tomorrow at school, which will hopefully be a good win so I can go home and watch it on ESPN.
C'mon Bucks!

Re: PGT: Blazers at Bucks
Hopefully an early embarassing loss like this will make us realize that we win by playing like last year: unselfish, blue collar basketball that doesn't involve Drew Gooden.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.
