Just got off the phone with a friend. If what I was told is true, be prepared for some misery.

If you're a tanker, be happy. The delusional Bucks are trying to acquire guys that have a very good shot of leaving in free agency, with the hopes of re-signing them. Coupled with Brandon's rfa status, this team could be severely, SEVERELY barren of talent next season. Next year's draft is loaded with talent. Probably at least five guys with much higher ceilings than anyone on the roster.

I'd prefer to offer this package to New Orleans for Eric Gordon instead and would throw in Tobes if need be. But I would be fine with this move if we also traded Ellis for Josh Smith.

Jennings/Beno
Redick/Morrow
Smith/Dunleavy
Ersan/Henson
Sanders/Udoh or Dalembert

That would be a damn good team and would challenge for home court advantage in the playoffs.

I would assume he means the 2014 Draft aka Wiggins + who cares, which would directly affect next year, not this year when the scrubs would be under contract... BRILLIANT tanking by JH, I say!

Can't say, and I'm no insider or anything, just a friend of a friend. The deals have been discussed on this board.

he is talking about the 2014 draft but I still find it hard to believe we miss on all of the good enough players in FA that would prevent us from a full tank that would be bad enough to get us a top 5 or so pick

Honestly if we trade for Redick and Smith and everyone walks at the end of the year that's like a dream scenario. We can finally tank and Herbie won't even know what hit him, he'll still be on a high from our 6th seed push.

The current season is over. WE're not accomplishing anything this season. Hell, the season was over before it started. Next season is probably over.

even if all of them walk we will inevitably overpay someone with the huge amount of cap space we would have

Who cares about the current season? Getting swept by Miami is not some prize.
