I am never satisfied with myself. I want each day to learn something new. Even though no one expected me even to be here, I am crazy when I don't play. And when I do play I am crazy that I did not get more game time. When the discussion around me started, last spring, at the beginning I said to myself it will be good if I get in the second round of the draft. Then I knew I would be happy with a low pick in the first round. Then, the No. 15 pick came from the Bucks. I wondered if they would keep me or leave me in Zaragoza. When they decided to sign me I was wondering if they would send me to the D-League. And when they decided to keep me I wondered if I would get game time. And when I played, I wanted more. With all that's happened these last months I've come to realize, more and more, that I belong here.

He clearly deserves starter minutes on this team (he's not alone amongst the first and second year players) which is why he should be on the bench for the good of the franchise.

Meh, we can still lose a ton of games and let Giannis play 15-20 minutes a night.

A lot of teams will lose a ton of games this season. Every loss counts.

I hope he did the Mutombo finger waive as he walked away too.

After watching Giannis play all his games with the Bucks up to and including last night, I am putting my 'upnorthfan' stamp of approval on this kid.

Not just that he is going to be a good rotational type player, but this kid is "special", I mean NBA Elite special. Wow, last night just confirmed it. Not with the highlight dunks and blocks, that just gets him invited to the party, but his overall knowledge of the game.

When to pass it, where to pass it, and pass it well, defending, blocked shots, coast to coast, rebounding, beyond the arc, the mid range one legger, drivng to the hoop, fast breaks, the young man has skills in all of those area's and is getting better as he is the youngest player in the NBA.

Totally unselfish, starting to exert his personality, and if he keeps the attitude and work ethic he has now, he will be a top 7 player in the league in four years, bank it!

Name your top 7 players in the NBA right now, then replace one name on that list and insert Giannis on the list, and there he will sit in a few short years

Time to get a new Stadium Milwaukee!!!

He sounds like a malcontent...only happy if he plays 48 min a night. I wonder if we could use him to get better value is some sort of Sanders trade... Only want unselfish players on this team. He even admits he's crazy!

Hey, Upnorthfan, I remember you from the old JS site! I agree, time for a new building for the Bucks, lets move ahead and look foreward. If Butler buys this team with investors, he will be very popular! I really feel down deep, there is no way this team is moving out of town.

I remember upnorthfan from the old site also. I've hardly posted here, but used to all the time years ago before everybody went to realgm

I'm not all that crazy about the realgm format. you got the moderator who can decide to delete your thread because he feels like it's kind of similar to another thread. on the old boards we would start a new thread anytime we wanted and nobody said anything, and we liked it!...........is epicurus on here? man that guy was annoying, he was in love with Stotts. hey, maybe he was right, look what at he's doing in Portland. and I remember when Sherman Douglas was playing, some lady who was in love with him used to post all the time like he was the greatest player that ever lived. We used to call her Sherman's grandma. Anybody remember those days?

Realgm is okay, not the greatest, not the worst. Glad to see more old timers coming around.

Giannis and Henson in ESPN's under 25 rankings (insider):

Giannis at 18:
Elhassan: Antetokounmpo's upside is incredible as a two-way player in this league, but he has a ton of development to do, both physically and in terms of his skills. He does a great job at getting out in transition and finishing with his length, but he still struggles shooting the ball. Defensively, he has great instincts and his length allows him to disrupt passing lanes and contest shots.

Thorpe: To be an elite wing scorer, Antetokounmpo must develop into an excellent ball-handler in half-court sets. Being able to shake good defenders with a dribble move would be the goal, but even just to be able to play effectively in ball-screen action would be good enough.

Pelton: It's too early for Antetokounmpo's statistics to tell us much, but based on similar players, he's most likely to emerge as a full-time starter in 2016-17 at age 22.

Henson at 25:
Elhassan: Henson has benefited from Larry Sanders' early-season injuries, seeing his minutes double, and he has responded as a result, bringing rebounding and energy to the floor. He's a good finisher and has a decent touch around the rim. Defensively, his length and activity allow him to protect the rim and force opponents to alter their shot attempts.

Thorpe: Henson is not a shooter or a post scorer -- yet -- and if he can focus on improving either that would be a great start. In the post he is too methodical and upright; getting lower and using his surprising quickness can help him beat his defenders for an easier and closer look at the rim. As a shooter, starting his shot with the ball higher can help.

Pelton: Because he relies more on activity than skill, Henson is unlikely to improve much on this year's 19.5 PER. That's OK as long as he fills in the gaps in his game.

Where are the Bucks office employees now?

"With Giannis, I've always said, this kid will grow a lot faster being out on that floor than he will sitting on the bench," Drew said. "It’s good to see him trying to make the most of it.

That quote makes me want to hug Larry Drew. I love hearing that, hopefully Caron Butler is traded asap, so Drew doesn't have to worry about having to play him.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. If you liked total anarchy with a ton of bogus "rumors" and very little serious Bucks discussion then yeah, the old boards were fantastic. And as a pure source of breaking Bucks news? U can't beat Realgm. It's literally the best source of Bucks news anywhere. That's a huge credit to the Mods. Not that the board really needs defending, just saying... :-)
