Thank Christ.
I'm not sure I'd take Parker at 4.

He's my #4, but I'm excited that it sounds like our top 3 is the same as my top 3 lol

I may opt for him at 4, but he's well behind the top 3 for me.
Funny thing is "who teams like" will change 47,538 times before June 26th.

I have no idea how anybody could have Exum over Parker. Parker has a resume, he has the skills, and he has the mind. We've seen the top prospects and picked their games apart for a year now, Exum is just the mystery behind door #2. PG of the future, give me a break! That's what you say about about a guy who has to learn to play PG, I don't believe Exum is going to be able to score as easily against NBA players as he is Australian high schoolers. He'd probably play defense better than Parker.

top 2 is the only doubt. i think if embiid's back 100% checks out, cleveland is going to have a tough time not taking him. they need a C pretty badly, and embiid and is the best to come out since oden.
either way i'll be pretty happy, and if embiid's back doesn't check out, parker will still be a great pick for us.
I agree if Embiid's back checks out hes a cav,if it doesn't he wont be a cav, buck, sixer and maybe even a magic.
Now if embiid back does check out and the cavs pass on him then it becomes interesting cause if the bucks don't take him where does he fall to,the 6ers don't need him and the majic well do they
1. If Embiid's back checks out, I think he's a lock for Cleveland.
2. If Cleveland passes in that scenario, Milwaukee takes him immediately.
3. If, for some reason, Milwaukee doesn't want to take him, they will have some sweet offers for that pick. Unfortunately, it appears Hammond will be in charge. The problem there is that those offers will likely come from teams outside of the top 4, where I personally do not want to be. Philly and Orlando have no motivation to move up to get him, as you stated.
Bottom line for me is, if you don't get one of Wiggins/Embiid, I would consider this draft a colossal failure, again, provided Embiid's back checks out, which I think it will.
not so sure buckboy im not so sure the bucks take embiid if healthy and if on the board when the bucks pick,I think and believe alittle bit what I just read that its either wiggins or exum.
Im on the parker bandwagon but when hes not even mentioned mentioned in the chad ford quote then I think I have ot change my tune

I don't have a top 10 at the moment, but I don't think it's absurd to consider him in the late lottery. He is arguably the best shooter in the draft, has good size, underrated athleticism, and even has some PG potential. I'd love for the Bucks to get an additional pick to get him.

all centers drafted with #1 overall picks were studs WHEN THEY PLAYED RIGHT BEFORE THEY WERE DRAFTED. hes a great example. he was a stud as a freshman. when you draft centers who weren't "studs" as freshman you don't draft them #1. you wait to see some production at some point in their careers. if they become studs later then you draft them #1
You can't predict injury. And everyone has acknowledged the injury concern with Embiid. But going by per game stats is ridiculous. Again, I'll go back to Hakeem. I'm not saying Embiid is for sure Hakeem, but would you have rated Hakeem poorly based on per game averages as a freshman?
What about Zo (13/7 as a frosh)?
What about Shaq (14/12)?
Mutombo (4/3)?
D-Rob (7/4 at Navy)?
Ewing (13/7.5)?
I'm sure I could go on and on. Big men develop later than swingmen as a general rule. Harder to coordinate larger bodies. But Embiid's footwork is already there. His per minute production is there. There is very little not to like, period.
so again....you made a list of great bigmen and what they did as freshman. big deal. news flash but they werent drafted at the top of their draft class after their freshman year either.
so what does that have to do with what embiid is going to be? are you suggesting that all freshman centers that post 11/8 become superstars? are you suggesting that I couldn't find a 11/8 freshman center that didn't become a superstar?
what a random argument.

Re: Ford Mock 6.0 #2 Embiid
You are bashing Embiid's freshman production, and I showed you what other bigs did as freshman. And now the other guys apparently get credit or staying longer, but we shouldn't project Embiid at all. None of the bigs I mentioned stay past freshman season if they are in the draft today. Just admit that you love being a vocal minority and that you don't really have strong arguments to back your opinions, and we will be fine.

Oh boy. "The resume, skills and mind". Winning a national high school championship, apparently signifies nothing. Whereas Parker struggled to help his team win at his level, when the tournament rolled around. Both of these players are skilled. The difference is that Parker's skills really only translate on one side of the ball, like Embiid and Wiggins, Exum is a two way player. Mind? Again, Exum has a high basketball IQ.
He's a mystery to you and shills in the national media that consider themselves experts but don't bother examining basketball outside of the NCAA scope. He's not a mystery to the scouts who've watched, apparently including Hammond who will be making this year's selection and he's got him high on his board according to Ford.
The connotation of bust that Exum is more likely to be is the figurative rack that feeds and nourishes this franchise's future success. Deal with it.

FIBA U-19 Worlds as a 17 year-old. He has the best combination of skills and physical tools after Embiid imo. Can be a primary playmaker as a guard with an elite first step. Defensive potential to guard 1s or 2s.

I honesly like him more than Randle, maybe even more than Gordon and Saric... but those three are very close for me. I think Stauskas has a chance to be a prime Wally Szczerbiak or Mike Miller type player... which would be an awesome addition from 8-15.

im saying his numbers leave a lot to the imagination. he could be anything. im also saying that there is NO LIST of centers drafted with a #1 overall pick who just came off 11/8. so how about you quit being delusional about the kid and deal with that blank list instead.
I don't care what other hofers did as freshman.... I can find more centers who averaged 11/8 as freshman and bombed then turned into hofers. its a useless exercise.
