Yes. I don't think Knight is even close to MCW, and MCW was a rookie this year.

Guess which one is younger.

I don't really care if Knights a couple months younger when he's far more experienced in the NBA.

Don't follow kangaroo into water, for it is in cahoots with the crocodile.

Itd take cojones to draft exum 2nd. Even if he pans out, no gm would be blamed for passing on him at 2.

Conversely, passing on one of the top 3 for an Exum who busts might cost a gm his job.

Id be impressed if hammond pulled the trigger on exum.

Bone probably won't have his job for long anyhow.

Easy to say now. Long way to go before we get to the draft. Sounds like a pretty good number of NBA people have Exum on that same level as these other guys anyways. Taking Randle over one of the top 4 would be the crazy move IMO.

You can't rule out Exum just because he hasn't played NCAA. I just see a burning desire to win in him and someone like Wiggins just doesn't display that in his game all the time.

If Wiggins goes #1 do you take Exum because Embiid doesn't want to be here. If Exum lived in Canberra for 3 years then he'll have no issues settling into Milwaukee!!

Well, Canberra's record low in July is 14 degreesº Farenheit (avg. being 31º) and this is the low point in the year for Australian temps. That isn't anything compared to the negative degree numbers Milwaukee's had in recent winters. But Giannis says he loves Milwaukee and he's from Greece. He's a different dude but it proves that there's hope for appealing to good players that are used to warmer weather.

If Clev takes Embiid first and we really like Exum, I'd try to work something out with ORL. Wonder if ORL would give up Exum and Harkless for Wiggins.

I really like Exum.

For me if we cannot be assured that Embiid's back is good then I would take Exum over him. With him not wanting to be here that lends to my concerns as well.

No assurances.

1. Wiggins
2. Exum

Back is cleared

1. Wiggins / Embiid
2. Exum

Chris Paul was the best player in the Bogut draft. I am not sure we even looked at him. I want to be sure to take a good look at Exum and really anyone else that we feel might be a star. I am not interested in fit, position or readiness just star potential.

The more I think about it, I just can't seem to shake the feeling that Cleveland takes Embiid, or, they trade out to a team that wants Embiid. Needless to say I feel that within the next few weeks of the draft process, Embiid runs away with "top prospect" tag.

As far as Exum going #2, slim chance IMO. I don't really see any top 3 team willing to be the guinea pig so to speak. If Exum were selected over Parker or Wiggins and Exum were the 1 to bust, it could be Darko Milicic catastrophically bad. Exum falling on Orlando's lap at 4 is the perfect scenario for everyone in the draft. Orlando doesn't have to worry about regret if it doesn't pan out because of the way the cards were dealt, Exum and Oladipo could easily become a scary good backcourt and the top 3 teams all made the plausible decisions to go with the more known talents.

Truthfully I don't think I'd be upset hearing any 4 names called to us at #2, regardless who goes #1. I'm having my own hard time trying to figure out who I like better than who and that whole process so whoever the FO decides to roll with I'm gonna roll with as well and be happy.

Canberra's certainly not as cold as Milwaukee, but it's still pretty cold and is a fairly boring city (perhaps not as boring as Milwaukee?).

Maybe someone can shed some light on this, but from the scouting reports on Exum, he is really quick, gets to the basket at will, unselfish player (pass first pg?), and needs to develop his shot. If we draft Exum and put knight at sg, hypothetically our lineup might be: Exum, Knight, Giannis, Henson/Ersan, Sanders. I'm just wondering where our offense comes from. It looks like we would be relying on Knight for a ton of the scoring, which I don't think many people are in favor of. I guess my point is can Exum be an elite scorer or would we want him to be an elite scorer?

Meh it depends (Canberran reporting).

It's not a big city like Sydney and Melbourne but I wouldn't say it's boring.

If you're young and want to party then probably not the best place to be but it's certainly not the worst.

I'm sure Orlando would give you #4 +#12 + Harris for #2 + Knight
I'm sure Jazz would give you #5 + #23 + 35 + Trey Burke for #2 + Knight ( they want Parker badly)
Could even see Philly if they want Wiggins badly enough #2 + Sanders for #3 + #10 and Thad Young then do Jazz deal.
But if you could get Wiggins @ #2 would.

that actually sounds like milwaukee lol. there's actually plenty to do, but people who are obsessed with image are always going to call it boring.

I would be disappointed, but still a little cautiously optimistic.

I still say if that is how you look at it, trade down to 4.

I guess it really comes down to what is fun for you. I'm turning 30 this year and have a kid now--hitting clubs is right down the list on things I now find fun. It's a bit of a been there, done that thing.

But for a young kid heading into the NBA? The bright lights of the big cities when you'll be loaded with cash and fame is very, very tempting.
