I remember when Dan Gilbert was in the running to buy the Brewers. We dodged a bullet there.

I have to admit, I do like the fact this guy wants to be here. Speaks volumes as to organizational culture change.

Chad Ford: One source said he thought Parker "tanked" the workout.

Why? A source says he strongly prefers to play in Milwaukee. The Cavs appear to be aware of this. "Jabari wasn't himself," one source said. "It was clear we weren't his first option."

So one one hand, that is amazing.

On the other hand, I find it hard to believe.

On the third hand, as a Parker guy, between this, the mid season slump as documented in that sports illustrated article, it sounds like mentally Parker seems to get weak at times.

That being said, these guys have been training, traveling around, doing visits, etc. Not surprised to hear the process could wear some of these guys down, but I just hope there isn't something else there.

Parker seems to be very dependent, but then I guess you have to remember he is just a kid. Let's hope we have someone that can mentor him or that he can bond with to fill that void.

Here is an idea, let's see if that Coach K guy is looking for a new job!!

Dean on Draft finally has some new, analytics heavy takes on the international guys. He's very high on Exum, Nurkic and, interestingly, Clint Capela. Less so on Saric. Worth a read...

http://deanondraft.com/

Dario Saric
I don’t have much to say about Saric. His translated stats are solid but not great as they put him 20th in the WARP rankings. That’s roughly what I anticipated, and outside of his 6’10″ height he doesn’t have a single tool that is average or better. I simply don’t see how he has the physical package to thrive as a primary ball handler in the NBA. The scouting narrative is that he has a virtuoso passing ability that gives him unique upside, which doesn’t strike me as quite enough to override his deficiencies. I could see him being a Boris Diaw stretch 4 type who can move the ball and occasionally knock down 3′s or create a little of his own offense. Or he could be an Evan Turner who cannot translate his ball dominant ways to the NBA as he faces tougher defenses. He seems like a fine flier in the late 1st round, but I don’t see how he’s worth a gamble in the lottery. It appears that Nate Duncan agrees with my assessment, which is enough to make me feel comfortable that I’m not missing any details of integral importance with my assessment from afar.

Even though Saric is hyped as the 2nd best international prospect in this class, I believe he’s only the 6th or 7th best in the class.

Don't count on Wiggins yet. Why would the Cavs leak this info out when they know that Philly might be interested in trading up in order to get Wiggins. Lots of smoke in the air. :D

Probably not a significant factor, but I'm sure it's come up in conversations with Woj (and other Duke coaches).

If we're worried about Jabari's weight now, imagine what will happen once Henson introduces him to Chipolte!

Because Jabari Parker played one year at Duke. He was recruited by Chris Collins. I'm sure he has a good relationship with Wojo, but I' find it hard to believe that Jabari would tank a workout and prefer MKE because an assistant coach happens to live in the area.

Plus, Wojo has his own program to run and Jabari will be a professional basketball player traveling from city to city. If Jabari prefers to play in Milwaukee, I think it has to do with it being an hour and a half away from his hometown more than living in the same city as a former assistant coach of his.

I dont believe Parker tanked his workout but just the fact that some people (not bucks fans) believe he did because he would rather go to Mil is amazing lol

Jabari's Mormon faith will prevent the missing ingredient in Larry and Henson's fast food addiction from taking hold.

But why would Ford still mock Parker to Cleveland if they had been scared away by him tanking a workout? They'd still pick him according to this.

From Jabari's perspective there are a lot of positives to be in MKE
1. Have a chance to be a/the face of a franchise (as opposed Irving and playing the shadow of Lebron's history)
2. Wojo - hopefully he can mentor him on and off the court here
3. Close to his parents
4. Chance to save / turn around a franchise
5. New owners that seem amazing as hell
6. Mormon Music Fest at the summer fest grounds every February, plus river, plus lake

Do it.
