Get out of one year of Ersan with Tayshaun, and then essentially a Dudley/Middleton for Adams/Calathes?

The numbers don't quite work out, but they are close.

Knight, Marshall, Wolters, Bayless
Adams, Mayo, Calathes
Giannis, Inglis, Tayshaun
Parker, JOB
Sanders, Henson, ZaZa

Or maybe flip Calathes for Leur?

I think we'd have to add knight to the trade which I'd obviously do. :D

The only thing that's ever really stood out to me is that he's quick, but he can't shoot, is nothing special as a passer, and isn't anything special in terms of size either. Is he good enough at anything to make up for the fact that we'd be building around 3 players that can't shoot? (4 if you include Larry) I just don't see it.

I like his quickness and upside and think he would be outstanding in the open court with Jabari and Giannis. Has better vision than Knight but that isn't saying much.

I personally don't like it at all. I don't think Adams ever gets as good as Middleton currently is, and calathes is a backup to me. It's just extremely lateral at best IMO. I don't like knight but I think adding him would be dumb, he has far more value than that poo poo platter.

Zaza Pachulia
Ersan Illysova

Marcus Smart

Vitor Faverani
Dwight Powell

Good God no.

Why not?
Both Knight and Middleton are black holes on offense. They are both FAs and I don't want to pay them but want to get something for them.
Marcus Smart was drafted #6? this year and he is playing very well. So rather than being a highly regarded college player projected to be an early draft choice who could bust - he is now a high draft pick rookie that is proving he can play at a high level in the NBA. Thus he improved his value over his draft status. He is easily worth a #4 pick and Knight. Boston value Smart and won't give him away - you gotta give to get.
James Young is worth the LAC 1st as its probably only #25 or later & Middleton since we don't want to resign him.
we dump 2 years of lame Ersan for expiring Bass
we dump old Zaza for young cheap Faverani
good deal for all 3 teams

Because I hate smart and young.

And I don't think he's been good so far. Maybe I'm wrong about that but I don't really care. I still hate him as a player.

Edit: I just looked at smarts stats. He hasn't been remotely good so far. His ts% is .440. Tiny sample size obviously but that is why I think he's a junk prospect. Nothing to change my mind in that #.

Middleton seems to have an attitude issue and we'd clear some guys we don't need. Plus I really like Adams. :D

Honestly I don't like Middleton this season at all, think he's looked rather poor on the court in all facets. However, I've soured on Adams in the past year. The more I see his J the less I Like it, and I'm not sure he has the work ethic to really improve upon his weaknesses. I know why people like him, but I think Middleton has more of a chance of figuring his **** out once someone reminds him he's goddamn khris Middleton not Kobe Bryant.

:curse: you have to watch Smart play D. As a rookie, he is a top 3 guard defender in the league. His shot is still terrible, but if he can fix that he will be an all star.

I'll forgive you for besmirching Smart if you post the gif of your avatar walking away. :D

If Marcus Smart was an NFL offense, punting would be his best play.

Here's a take that will ruffle feathers around here: I might prefer Schroder to Exum.

And, not that I even think Exum is reasonably attainable, but I would take Schroder at his price over Exum and his price easily. Schroder is the guy we need to be targeting. I'm worried the ship is sailing, as the last two Hawks games he has gotten more and more burn and has looked quite good.

McLemore picking it up big time of late. Now's the time to make a run at Stauskas. Offer them Knight and Henson.

Man, we should have gone after McLemore right after they drafted Stauskas. Looks great tonight. Capitalize NOW by "overpaying" for Stauskas.

Yeah, McLemore would be a nice fit with his defense and finishing ability. He also has great form on his jumper - he's only going to improve as a shooter. I mentioned awhile back Knight/Middleton/Henson for McLemore/McCallum, but it ain't happening now.

I like Stauskas too, but instead of D and dunks, he brings a little more playmaking ability. I'd offer Middleton and Henson for him.

McLemore is very intriguing because he is a major athlete who is a pure shooter. I always take chances on those types of guys. Plus, I think he is more likely to be a late bloomer because of a stunted maturity level and his young age - was definitely a guy to take a chance on. I would still inquire about him.

I would basically ask for them to give us their choice of McLemore or Stauskas and offer them almost any combo of players. Stauskas would be an awesome fit as our SG of the future. I think Knight and Henson would appeal to them. They seem like a team who would value Mayo too, and as good as OJ's been, I would take the chance on the younger Kings 2 guards for the long term.

I'd do Henson/Middleton for either Stauskas or McLemore.
