Agreed with this. If it's non-protected the year after Giannis is (hypothetically) gone it could (hypothetically) be a disaster.

I don't think he's ever sucked.
I can't say that I follow George Hill closely so maybe he hasn't ever sucked. I thought I read within the last couple years that his defense has slipped and age was catching up to him.

maybe Horst knows what he's doing after all.

I mean Horst (or his team) clearly knows the little things. There have been a few examples showing that.

I think George Hill might be able to help us more than whatever we can get back for his contract tbh.

I had serious doubts about Horst when he got the GM post. The process was such a cocked-up fiasco that he looked like he was #37 on a list of 5 candidates.

He's lookin much, much better now. This certainly looks like a good move, with vision.... Who'da thunk it....

I've never been a fan of Henson, but to his great credit, he seems to have embraced his revised role with Bud. I assumed he'd be more likely to get moved around the deadline, as he has some utility and his contract looks reasonable compared to his career arc. Moving Delly with his contract was pretty impressive, even at the cost of likely back-end-of-the-the draft slots

I bet 80% of NBA fans don't even know there's a salary cap.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Does this mean Carmelo is coming? I think he'd fit nicely with the Bucks.

Shocked actually, but very pleased. We could use another big, surely Zeller is on speed dial. And that concern many had about chemistry isn't a concern for Horsty.

Just looking stuff up it looks like Hill’s just coming off an injury and still isn’t there yet, his numbers before the injury look pretty good though. Just give him a few more weeks off and get him right.

You guys should actually like Hill. He's best as a secondary ballhandler but can shoot the 3 and still plays very good defense. You can play him at either guard spot.
Decker is just a scrappy player. Nothing fancy. He's not a great shooter but he will scrap and will hold his own out there. Both these guys are healthy now as Dekker was due to come back this week from his injury.

Hard not to like this trade. They'll be a better team this year and, with the cap space, likely as good or better next year.

I never thought I'd see the day Henson would finally be off this team. It's a happy day.
