Re: Giannis Thread
I think giannis is staying but i also think both khris and bledsoe(especially) need to start playing better come playoff time.
As for raptor fans, real delusion and desperation on their part. Winning the chip seems to have given them false level of expectation. Only a handful of teams are big FA destinations and toronto isn't one of them. They profited from a peculiar and unfortunate spurs-kawhi situation but now that's over and it reinstates that their best bet is to draft someone that can become superstar and can really buy in.

Re: Giannis Thread
So the Raptors without Giannis are going to do better than the Bucks with Giannis over the next two years? Then Giannis goes to the Raptors?
Got it.
Got it.

How concerned are you all about Giannis leaving the Bucks? A lot of podcasts have started talking about him being the next big star to hit FA. Not so much about if he will or won’t yet but more about the context of team owners revolting if players continue to manipulate FA like they have been recently.

How about a principled rationalist who believes that worrying about things you can't control is fundamentally irrational?
Well that’s me in relation to sports in general. Being a principled realist is always the path of least resistance and heartbreak. But, for the not principled folk-seeing what just unfolded in NOLA, Toronto, and OKC - it’s daunting. Not only the idea of just signing - but then STAYING. Paul George changed the game on that move.

Exactly. Looks like Masai has 2 years left on his extension, so that would line up nicely. Money is no object, let's get him.Jaballa Parkay wrote:MickeyDavis wrote:viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1870866

If Giannis want Masai, then he should recruit him here. POBO

To get your email and phone number
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Probably to determine the staffing/concessions/paraphernalia needed.

And it's also true as Crkone pointed out that they want to get a rough idea of how many might be there. Early forecast is nice weather. Should be fun

I like them a lot more knowing you can customize them. Hell I might buy an all white pair.

My orange Freak 1s just got delivered to my house and now I'm just counting down to the point I get home so I can try them on. I really really hope they fit comfortably!

Re: Giannis Thread
i see you can now make your own custom Freak 1's. Kind of cool (arrives in 4 weeks or less) but nothing I designed look as cool as the orange.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Giannis Thread
Sorry if this has been discussed already but where did this bull come from: "Ujiri helped the family emigrate from Nigeria to Greece to start the 23-year-old on his path to NBA greatness". I'm a pretty avid connoisseur of all things Giannis and I've never heard this. Wasn't he young as **** when he got to Greece? How the **** did Masai help his family emigrate (wrong word?) from Nigeria? Why have I never heard Giannis mention this?

Re: Giannis Thread
Finally got home and unboxed my orange Freak 1s.
They're definitely nicer in person. The colors really pop.
They definitely offer really nice heel and ankle support.
I was able to fit into my size 14s, and while the length was perfect, the fit is a tad tight. I have wider feet, and would have preferred a 14w if they made one. But it's not so bad that I'm opposed to trying to break them in a bit. These shoes are meant to be a bit snugger to support some of the footwork Giannis engages in.
I'm not sure I'll keep them at this point, but I've got 30 days to break em in and decide whether to keep them or not.

Coming in peace here. While I acknowledge there are some on our board who want to recruit and don't agree with me/us, there are a good number who are turned off by the FA mess/tampering/podcast/ESPN BS that goes on. We do not want 2 years of recruiting to happen, we do not want our players to be whispering to Giannis like LeBron did to Kawhi, we do not want our team president attending multiple Bucks home games like the Clippers president did in TO. As a fan, who is experienced in tier1 FAs not eager to come to my team, I, and others, feel empathy for your position. Will Masai have cap room available? Most likely. Would we want him to tamper in any way? Would we want your team or city to be bad mouthed by ESPN personalities and others? Would we want you to have to live through two years of speculation? Absolutely not.

They all told us he's overrated and he wasn't that good. Now they are pining for him? Got it.
