Put me down for Klay being basically an average player when he gets back. I am fascinated by the Russell experiment -- I don't expect it to work but it could.

I totally reject the idea, though, that GS will be as good as they were pre-Durant. That team had an ideal collection of top shelf role players and stars in their prime. I will not write them off because Steph is too good, but it's just not reasonable to expect them to do that.

My best guess is that they are ok with Russell and trade him to Orlando in December.

Defensively I'd be worried that he will decline noticeably. But I think the shooting and much of his offensive repertoire can remain.

I think it's funny people think Seth is going to get into Bucks specifics in his AMA on the general board.

Don’t really understand the buzz his departure has created. Think the hiring of a G-league coach is much more relevant to the Bucks organizational success.

Agreed. It's the dog days of the offseason.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sure hope he doesn’t give away the secret about the benefits of the three point shot.

His departure probably would have been a bigger issue during the Kidd era because back then we all knew the "analytics" department was like the LSU library. Sure, it's technically "there", but.....you know.

From Nehm's article on Korver/Matthews filling in for Brogdon.

Probably cause he created Nylon Calculus and is a "Name" in the world of analytics, even though there are probably more than capable guys in the analytics department for the Bucks still.

So Brogdon really didn't even attempt a 3 with someone 4' or closer? Holy ****.

That doesnt surprise me. Brog basically specialized in taking what defenses gave him (and excelled at it) and rarely tried to do more (bcuz when he did, it usually wasnt pretty).

If they were that close, it's like 98% certain he's driving straight to the rack without looking at anybody else.

Right. He seems like a bright guy who I’m sure was good at his job, but too much is being put on assumptions of his importance because people know his name. Taylor Jenkins leaving is astronomically more significant and Bucks internet only brought it up to laugh about him holding guys back from the bench.

Reading this article, can’t help but think what could’ve been with Collins and Huerter.

There's a reason his volume was low compared to a guy like Matthews. His release is slow. He doesn't have time to set and get it off if someone is in his grill.

I mean it doesn't surprise me he barely attempted any, what surprises me is that he NEVER did. Not even once. I think having Korver/Matthews able to shoot contested shots is going to have a big impact. But their wide open threes will be the biggest. I think Korver's 2018 campaign was an anomaly for his wide open 3p %
