I agree. Middleton really doesn't fit the offense we are trying to run with Giannis.. So his skillset is somewhat wasted. In terms of a guy who can catch and shoot the 3 and play good defense, Sterling should be able to get the job done. Khris really isn't a catch and shoot guy, he's a guy who needs to build his own rhythm.

Rudy Gobert said he literally know the play before we ran it. That's on coaches.
Middleton still needs to put the shot up and let Gobert block it out of bounds so we keep possession. It's plays like that make people think Giannis is surrounded by guys who turn into mental midgets in critical and clutch situations.
He tried to pass out of it, but landed too quickly. Might as well lump Giannis into the mental midget situation given he went and picked up 3 quick fouls to foul out of the game.

So we have guys like DDV, Sterling, Wes, Hill, Korver and the answer is to start DJ, a 5/4 mix? Is there anything DJ can't do? Are we just holding him down so we can sign him to a cheap contract instead of the max he'd get if he just got a few minutes a game.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I think it's clear that DJ just isn't a quality NBA player. I would've rather we kept Christian Wood than DJ but it is what it is. Wonder if part of it was not wanting to admit he was a terrible pick.

You are right since the regular season doesn't mean jack for us. Might help Giannis MVP odds if we can somehow get to 60 again.

So yeah the timeframe is right.
Your characterization sounds a lot worse. Especially for a guy who had his quad torn already.
He tore his hamstring, not his quad. It is, however, on the same leg.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
Anything but Giannis (and Brook) + Khris for Kristaps. Porzingis seems unhappy , he said he doesn't get the ball often on offence (due to Doncic).
I guess he could fill better as a No2 option next to an MVP rather than Doncic.
We signed Giannis brother, its time to trade for his friend. I am sure the Porzingis and Giannis Duo can win rings (if healthy).
As for Khris, I wish him a speedy recovery. I like him as a player but I don't like his role he is utilized, neither his contract.
As for the Bucks, I think we will play better basketball without him on court. I said it on PG, the point Khris scheme hurts our offense.
And you know Khris impact on D too.

It would obviously be an insane duo, but Giannis' usage is higher than Doncic's, so I don't see why he would be any happier playing off of one versus the other.

Think we should start Hill or Donte and move Wes up to the 3.

Also where I'm at. Would prefer starting Donte so we maintain a stabilizing influence off the bench.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
If we are still beating good teams and carrying a +8-10 point differential with Khris out, and i think that's definitely possible, it makes me feel fortunate that we signed khris instead of letting him walk. Almost certainly his trade value would be higher than Brogdon's if Brogdon was still a Buck (in no possible universe does he get those Indy numbers here). And if we can establish that Khris is a luxury we don't need, perhaps we can move him for either a cheaper player that fits the offense better but isn't as dynamic of a player in a vacuum, add a very real asset, and perhaps package that with the Indy pick and extras for someone special.
Maybe just maybe
Maybe just maybe

I'm about to have an aneurysm thinking about Wes guarding 3's.

Respectfully, I'd feel the opposite. i.e. he's replaceable, and it likely would impact his trade value. i.e. other teams thinking that Giannis is the magic beans for all of these guys (Midds, Bledsoe, Lopez, etc.)

Middleton hit the lottery by being Giannis running mate for the last 6 years. Mids plays a perfect complementary role to Giannis, but, not one that couldn't be filled by a number of other guys. Put Bojan next to Giannis last few year and he probably gets a $150M contract from Bucks this past summer.

Just start Sterling at the 3 or bump Giannis to the 3 and start Ers.

Wha???
How are those two injuries at all synonymous? A bruise vs. a tear?
