I like how Nehm is the one who reported #42, yet is ignoring everyone asking him about the confirmation of it.

Apparently we dont have 42 so Nehm is on my **** list again.

The Pelicans writer for the Athletic, in his draft preview this morning, said they dealt us 42 and 60. If you have an Athletic subscription you can find it.

But I agree, its weird no one really knows.

Oh, I just assumed we aren't listed as having it yet until the draft can start and NO has to make the pick for us. But if that's not the case that sucks lol. So hopefully we do buy some seconds lol.

Eric Nehm said on 1250 WSSP this morning that Bucks are buying pick 42 from the Pelicans. Pick no.60 was included in trade, 42 was not

Was just about to listen to his interview. Good to hear. Hopefully his source knows what they're talking about.

Sweet, that explains the tweet that only 60 was included in the trade and why the mocks from this morning only show us with 60.

Pelicans at 24 are looking at Bolmaro as a draft and stash. Maybe they don't need 42 so much like we do.

Why 42? That seems random. Wouldn't they want to try and buy a higher pick first?

Maybe part of the trade was that NO sells us that pick?

I wouldn't rule out the idea of buying another pick - I bet 42 was a throw in as part of the trade

I don't see any way the Bucks draft any "stash" players. They need to fill out a roster badly, they will be taking guys they think can play bench minutes this season, regardless of overall ceiling, IMO.

I haven't dug deep, but I'm guessing that New Orleans can not roster all of their draft picks.

Edit: Looks like I was wrong. I'm seeing 9 players under contract, Darius Miller's cap hold (not sure what's going on there) and 4 picks including 42.

I think Quickley and Riller are my darlings at #42 heading into the draft tonight.

I wonder if we discussed buying any 2nds off Sacramento while we had them on the phone too.

A little bit of inside info on LaMelo Ball- when he played out here he played for a team called the Illawara Hawks, based in the city of Wollongong- about 1 1/2 hours south of Sydney.

Now here's the bit that the mock drafts won't tell you- it's actually quite a lovely train ride down there from Sydney. It's about 2 hours, the second half of which works through a mountain range following the coast line and you can daydream out the window looking over treetops to the ocean. I'm sure that train ride has heavily influenced LaMelo's game style.
