I’m good on chicken wing Lou. Not a team player, not the attitude I want on the team.

Bud’s defense and Giannis make Brook look better than he is, he was like the one guy you’d circle on the calendar since Bogut would destroy him on both sides of the ball. Ersan’s 27 rebound game was against Brook too, the guy has always been a plodder. Personally I think he’s the most expendable guy on the team.

I won’t talk bad about Brook because I’m a fan and I think he’s useful but I also 100% agree with your assessment of him. He’s so slow footed he’s a liability in Buds scheme. I’ve always thought we should play more match up zone to start off games for 2 reasons; so no one is coming out of the gate running around and chasing on defense and so Brook can stay around the rim. He’s definitely expendable but he’s also a valuable asset on this roster because like you said, he plays next to Giannis. He just can’t close games or he’s a pretty big liability imo.

I’m looking around the league trying to find a team that would value brook greatly, and I landed on Boston. Do you think brook could net you smart?

Slow start is my guess. Anyone have any idea of the Over/Unders are out yet?

Yea I've seen some over/under win totals already. I've seen Bucks at 49 or 50, most in the league.

Jrue DDV Craig Giannis Brook I could never see closing a game unless it’s a last possession and we need 1 more stop to win and go home. Brook is a dinosaur closer, hack a Shaq took away the only dudes you would want Brook defending, he should only be in there like I said, for 1 last rebound or guarding the inbound. Having Khris on the bench seems overzealous too.

The 2nd lineup is your 1A closing lineup on defense.

I’d rather see DJ Jrue Midds Craig Giannis close most games on any given night. That’s the best balance of offense and defense and no real holes. Craig is short-ish but he can still protect the rim with Giannis. That’d be the weakest spot I guess. But we can exchange 2s for 3s all night....

I get your point, but our defense with Brook in the game is to try and funnel guys into the paint and make them take mid range over Brook. If you have those other four guys, it's going to be awfully tough to score.

I wasn't really taking offense into account, I'd probably need to think through that one some more.

As for the second line up, I definitely see Giannis playing more 5 this year. He obviously has the gear to close out on centers taking threes. Anyway, my main point is that we have a couple of looks we can throw at teams that is going to be very difficult to score against.

For the last roster spot I'd rather get a 4/5 over a pure 5. Technically we're deep enough at the 4 with all of Giannis, Middleton, Portis, Craig, DJ and Connaughton being able to play there but I really don't expect any contributions from DJ and I'd like to be able to dangle Portis (or anyone else really) as trade filler without the need to get a specific position back. Also the backup center position is kind of dead. I'd be fine with Patton cause we could groom him for the starting spot but he wouldn't be my favorite.

Depth of roster will matter a lot in the regular season with the covid regulations.

Rayjon Tucker is about to come available. Cut Graham and add Tucker.

Tucker made 65% of his 2 point FGAs with Utah. He's just a monster attacking the basket. His strength is a perfect fit playoff basketball.

We're going to start fast. Bud will have new stuff for the new personnel and it'll take months for the league to figure it out.

Him being on Giannis list and hoping we’re not done trying to assemble the most competitive playoff ready group we can
