True, but there is a simple solution to that, pick a direction and go with it. Don't stay in mediocre land. We rip on teams like the Knicks and Clippers all the time, because they have been even more hopeless than us, arguably. The easy solution is to start making the correct decisions.

A comment like that makes me wish the Celtics would be without Garnett for the rest of the season. Then their fans can get a nice reminder of what the "dreaded NBA middle class" was like before their team got handed a superstar in a giftwrapped trade between two buddies. How quickly they forgot what the last 17 years or so were like in Boston before Garnett arrived.

it doesn't get much more bitter than that folks

wow

Asking people to show some class makes me bitter?

Wow is right.

you're not asking anyone to show some class, you're just complaining about a trade they made that you think was so blatantly unfair.

but really, who cares? writers and fans make comments like that all the time and you don't seem bothered

who's to say they aren't right though? it's not like we've climbed out of mediocrity yet

The poster was right, though.

The truth hurts.

I can guarantee you that they would have been singing a different tune if Redd and RJ would have been moved for expiring deals.

I think this whole twitter thing is way overblown. How many of you want to bet half the team gets on their cell phone during the same time period and texts friends to make plans after the game? Who the hell cares. If he starts tweeting and it interferes with the meetings, then ask him to stop. And why does he need to be fined anyway? Even if you are of the opinion that what he did is wrong, why should he be fined. We all make mistakes at work too and he didn't break any rule I know of so he should definitely not be fined IMO. Man if I was fined for every mistake I made at work, I would be pissed at my employer.

Nope. I'm saying that it doesn't hurt to remember where you once were before taking pot shots at someone else. I think it's funny actually that someone who follows the Celtics would be so quick to forget just how awful that team was for the better part of the last two decades. Again, it's a matter of class.

lol.. CV just wanted to give us a reason to talk while we're hitting the part of the schedule where the games have longer intervals between them.. he just wants to keep us occupied while we wait days beween games..

As for whether its right or wrong, relax. All the players access their personal lockers during half time while the coaches are brainstorming in another room. CV probably did it while he was waiting for the coaches to show up.

Why is this even being discussed? It's not a big deal, no one cares about it except some uptight fans and some front office people.

Because it's cool? I think it's pretty sweet that he posts on Twitter for fans and it's cool that he did it during the game.

Am I the only one that just doesn't understand the popularity of Twitter?

I guess I could understand it if I were an athlete or someone famous or a musician that people actually wanted to follow. But I don't necessarily understand why the everyday joe-schmo would want to, um, tweet.

Just saw on ESPN that Skiles reprimanded Venezuela for this. I'd love to know what it was. Honestly, that's ridiculous.
