Am I the only nerd that's excited for MIcrosoft Flight Simulator 2020 to come out next week? Game looks gorgeous.

I love a good skating game but this looks horrendous to me. I know it hits a sweet spot for some though.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Anyone into emulators? I'm about to attempt to add some genesis Roms to a Sega genesis mini but every tutorial doesn't have a link to any genesis Roms. Anyone know a good site to download some?

Man if any of you haven't played either Ori yet and like platformers, they're on Xbox game pass. You should do yourself a favor and play both.

Yea, there was another emulation site I used to use. It was paradise.

It's not illegal if you own the games already

Movie-esque story mode, great legacy mode, great detail to fighters and creator mode, easy to pick up and play controls. I think it's free on GamePass, don't know about the PS4.
But if you wanted to chill and dedicate a week to a perfect sports game, this is it. If you needed another reason to play, the story mode mirrors Gladiator, the early 90s boxing flick. It rules.
Mike Tyson wants no part of these hands. Two fights, two knockouts in the first round.
I still have Champion but I liked Round 4 so much more. Champion just felt too arcady for me after playing it a couple times so I just started new careers at different weight classes in Round 4. I think I'll give Champion another shot this weekend since I've done about all I can do with Round 4 even though from what I hear the Boss level guy is gonna make me throw my controller thru a window,
F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

I've definitely done all I can with Champion. Played through the story mode (excellent) twice, and maxed out created characters in two divisions. One thing I hate is there's a damn level cap in the career mode. I'm at level 86 with tens of thousands of unused XP because I hit the max of 222/222. I thought it would increase as my fame/achievements would go up, but nope.
But anyway, I think I liked the first UFC game when I played it six or so years ago. I'm gonna pick up UFC 4 this afternoon. I like that it seems the career mode is pretty tailored to letting you build a fighter in the style that you want.

Have you thought about speedrunning games or doing something like Soul level one runs in Dark Souls or DS3?

Not good enough at the Souls series to do a speedrun, I generally take my time in those. But I could definitely speedrun Nioh 1 and maybe 2.

Very late to the party but Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is an outstanding game.

Have you tried either? I tried both but ended up flaking. I think I did OneBro up to O&S and speedrun up to Gargoyles.

I've attempted soul level 1 a few times but I usually quit near BoC. I have to learn the strat. O&S isn't bad if you use the columns and make sure you get Super Smough. Half of first phase is just baiting Ornstein one way away from Smough. I like randomizer now if I go back to DS1. I do the streamer setting where the randomization usually results in a 4 hour game. It also usually gets rid of bed of chaos if you do both item and enemy randomizer.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Already thinking I'll be putting UFC 4 on eBay, despite have a lot of fun with it today. Seemed super technical for the first hour or so, but gradually the complex moves and combos became pretty easy to remember and pull off.
Did great in the career mode, won two belts, undefeated, learned a lot of special moves by inviting fighters into my gym. Leveled up a lot, including the moves.
Disappointed that in order to make any kind of significant changes to your clothing you clearly need to spend real world money. It's criminal that after paying $60 for a game I get only the most generic handful of cosmetics and hundreds are locked away. Even after Earning a buttload of XP and achievements or whatever it unlocked like four things.
But here's the real kicker: all your progress you made in your create a player mode means dick if you want to take that player online. All the moves you learned, the techniques you leveled up, the stats you dumped into your abilities means nada. I spent hours making my avatar into a version of the fighter I wanted to play as. If I want to use him online I have to choose between a few pre-sets and worse, none of the move sets I configured work.
I thought the online would be where the staying power would be here, and it clearly isn't.

Factorio, which I have never played before, launched officially today with 1.0 (outside of EA). There's a demo on Steam, which I downloaded and proceeded to play for about 5 hours.
It's...addicting.

Factorio is one of the 5 best games I've ever played. It is incredible, because once you do one thing, you can do that one thing 1,000 different ways, and 1,000 times bigger.
