Dame-AJJ-Khris-Giannis-Brook 4 minutes
Dame-AJJ-Jae-Bobby-Giannis 4 minutes
Cam-MarJon-Khris-Bobby-Brook 4 minutes

There's your first quarter. Adjust from there.

Sorry, you need to shoehorn in 12 first quarters minutes for Beasily…

Do you know anything about him?

I read he last got fired from a European team b4 the 1st for saying the roster isn't as good as last year. So much for freedom of speech and honesty. Lol

He was the architect of "the wall" the Raps used to stop the Bucks. Worked wonders for late career Marc Gasol....and he adjusts scheme to his players.

Love that he runs tons of Spain pick and roll action and flare options.

Thanks... sounds like it can help

Just peeked at the schedule. If this were last year's team with Bud as coach we probably wouldn't lose a game until Nov 22 when we play Boston. That would be a 9 game-winning streak.

Let's see how this roster does with Griffin. I'm going to guess 5-4 then we get CRUSHED by Boston in Boston.

Borrego could be another option to replace Griff.

I am not gonna bother going through the last 3-4 pages, but Sergio Scariolo is definitely NOT the solution to any team's coaching issues at the year 2023. Hard pass.

Yeah, wouldn't mind Borrego at all. He was part of the first round of interviews.

Hear me out...

Is it possible the staff is just trying to get a feel for strengths and weakness of the players so the offense and defense isn't what we'll see later in the season?

Dame is also going through some **** and is a notoriously slow starter on top of giannis doing more bad giannis things than normal so far.

I'm not sure it's time to start mapping out Griffins' demise yet.

I'd say he should be far more familiar with players in the NBA than he is. You shouldn't need to do the things we're "trying" to get confirmation when there are hours and hours of game tape at your disposal. The scheme would make you think that this is the first time he's watched any of these guys and that's a major issue.

Yeah I touched on this at some point. Like the things he's trying, it's as if he's been embargoed from any prior knowledge. You should be able to rationalize everything you try. You don't have time to try EVERYTHING.

Makes sense if he’s been on a Mormon pilgrimage the last decade.

Yeah, if a rookie head coach came in and replaced Kerr over in Golden State, and immediately planted Draymond in the corner on offense, I think everyone would rightfully ask "what the **** are you doing?"

Just Griffin's bullishness on and use of Beasley is enough to spook. Beasley shouldn't even be in the rotation. Imagine if we'd given Nwora 30+ minutes a night.

I think he was my preferred choice for head coach based on who we had interviewed. Would be thrilled to have him as an offensive assistant.

Meh, this board is still convinced that Giannis knows what the **** to do as a roll man and Bropez is an elite defender.

Sometimes you don't know til you know.

If the team was literally **** themselves, that's a whole other layer.

We know nothing and won't for a while.

Nah, I think everyone (except Griff, apparently) knew Brook thrives as a drop defender and having him out on the perimeter in a pressure defense was a terrible idea well before Griff tried it.

There are obvious things that you don’t need to actually see fail on the court to know that it’s going to fail. That’s the problem and is why there are people rightfully panicking this early.

Giannis absolutely does know what to do as a roll man and is overthinking everything.

And the only way for him to figure it out is give him a bunch of reps so he can see every type of reaction from the defense.

Yea he's certainly not as fluid at this as he should be, especially considering he has all the tools for it to be better than almost anyone at it. He's just rarely done it and hasn't been coached on it. He needs hard coaching on it and like you said they just have to run the crap out of it all year.

He might know...but he's pretty awful at it. He doesn't set good screens, slips too early more often than not...and will regularly get called for an illegal screen making an already perilous foul situation with him worse.
