Giannis at the 5 would probably look more closer to Jokic at the 5 defensively than it would Anthony Davis. It will work in spurts when he locks in but it would take personnel changes.

You will need a P.J. Washington/John Collins type. Yes, Advija and Eason would be at the top of the profile list who are not stars but there is likely zero way to get either one of them.

Avdija is way beyond Eason. Eason has not proved himself

Defensively, Eason is a star, and that's the part we need to unlock Giannis at the 5. Our offense already rocks with him at the 5.

Minny just lost to Sacramento, and they’ve been mostly middling like us. They lack creation, and I wonder if they have any monetary regrets with Jaden.

How about something like Khris + ‘31 1st for Jaden and Naw expanded into the 3-team trade?

That would completely rebuild our perimeter defense with two all-nba caliber defenders.

Minny gets a better perimeter creator, and a 1st to help shift their roster.

I think if we want that 3rd option replacement for Khris we should go hard after BI.

He does a lot of things that Khris does well (mid range scorer, quick processor and passer, takes what the defense gives him) that we know works here, but he’s also quicker attacking the hoop, much larger, and maybe a better mover off ball at this point.

He’s not the pull-up 3pt shooting threat that Khris is but he’s still a good catch and shoot threat from 3 (over 40% in three of his past 5 seasons).

He’s injured a lot, and he wants to see the money this off-season, but the talent is absurd and he’s still just 27.

So as we've talked at nasauem Butler wants Suns. So here's a crazy idea:

Heat get: Dame, D.Lee, & T.Eason. Dame goes to South Beach. Herro can go back to playing the 2. They would have a follow up deal to get a 3 for Rozier. Eason could start at the 4? Negative: Heat get no draft picks.

Grizz get: B.Lopez, Beaucamp. Brook gives them a vet presence to help mentor Edey.

Suns get: Jimmy, J. Smith Jr., R. Sheppard, 27/29 1st (Suns via Houston), & 30 1st Houston. Jimmy goes to where he wants, plays with KD. Smith Jr. can play the 4. Sheppard will be the future PG. Plus they get draft picks. Negative: They trade their young franchise player Booker.

Houston gets: Booker, M.Smart, Nurkic, Portis, Patty C., & J.LaRavia. Houston gets Devin Booker to be the new franchise player. Portis could start at the 4. Smart takes over the PG spot. Nurkic backs up Seguan.

Bucks get: D.Brooks, FVV, S.Adams, K.Ware, J.Jaquez Jr., 291st via Heat. FVV takes over the PG, Brooks brings his defense to the 3 , Adams is expiring, Ware could start , JJJ could be one of our top guys off the bench. Negative will Giannis get pissed we trade Dame, and Lopez.

It would take Dame to get KD, but that would be good. Dame isn't a PG anyway, and our defense would be awesome but removing Dame. We could deal Bobby to get a PG.

It’s weird that “I want only the Suns” Jimmy has informed every other team that he is not willing to sign an extension except the Bucks. My guess is that Horst is just holding his horses until Jimmy realises that there is no path for Phoenix and Riley accepts the sad reality that Midds/Bobby is all he can get.

When they first reported Memphis being told to back off they said the same about Milwaukee but that was walked back and said untrue. IDK what to believe, I think there is a lot of bull and negotiating thru media coming from Riley & Jimmy.


Dame for KD would be crazy, no idea why Phoenix would consider that but he’d be a perfect fit next to Giannis much better than Dame.

Jimmy-KD-Giannis would be a pretty nuts front court, I’d just probably just start Green & Trent in backcourt since all we’d need would be 3&D players there. Ajax & Lopez depending on tough match up. Definitely intriguing not sure how realistic.

I think the Suns are offering Jimmy at least an extra year and $50M than anyone else is willing to.

Bucks pay him he comes in as happy as can be.

But if we're staring down Giannis asking out as soon as this summer we might be closer to Golden State who may not be offering an extension at all.
