I'm just now getting around to playing Spiderman on PS4 and man, it's great. I'm not the biggest fan of Arkham (which is what Spiderman reminded me of) and I think that's why I stayed away from Spiderman for so long but I'm loving this game.

Between a little mini-vacation to my parents cabin and work, I've been kind of busy and got behind on playing Path of Exile. MikeIsGood, would you say if I don't get a high level character by the end of Harvest to just restart the Arc Witch with the next league or keep leveling the current one in standard to grasp the endgame systems?

I was just wondering the other day how you were coming along.
It depends upon your mentality, I think. If you're comfortable with not experiencing the latest 'cool mechanic', I 100% would keep going in Standard so that you can build experience (yours...not your characters'

If you'd like to experience the new league with everyone else, by all means go for it. But I think restarting with the same character you've already been playing increases your chances of burnout. To be, part of the fun is not only the new content each quarter, but also trying a new character. I don't think I'd still be playing if there wasn't such a wild variety of viable builds.

If you're comfortable with not experiencing the latest 'cool mechanic', I 100% would keep going in Standard so that you can build experience (yours...not your characters'), get some mapping work in like you said, etc. It will have you better prepared when you do want to jump into a league in the future.

I just opened up the mines in Act IV and this is now my best character at level 40. I'm doing good, I just didn't get to play for a week and a half.
I was thinking along the same lines. If I restart at ground zero with the same build, it might burn me out. I'll probably keep trucking then and once I'm comfy flip back down to the league again. Still got about a full month, I believe Harvest ends September 13th.
Edit: Changed my progress to where I ended playing tonight.

Movie-esque story mode, great legacy mode, great detail to fighters and creator mode, easy to pick up and play controls. I think it's free on GamePass, don't know about the PS4.
But if you wanted to chill and dedicate a week to a perfect sports game, this is it. If you needed another reason to play, the story mode mirrors Gladiator, the early 90s boxing flick. It rules.
Mike Tyson wants no part of these hands. Two fights, two knockouts in the first round.
I still have Champion but I liked Round 4 so much more. Champion just felt too arcady for me after playing it a couple times so I just started new careers at different weight classes in Round 4. I think I'll give Champion another shot this weekend since I've done about all I can do with Round 4 even though from what I hear the Boss level guy is gonna make me throw my controller thru a window,
I was trippin. I was so sleep on this game. I literally let this game collect dust in my closet for years and now I'm 100% invested in Andre Bishop's story. Still don't love the actual fighting but it's better than I remembered but the story mode is what has me here.

Ha yeah man I bought the Switch for my 5 yr old daughter to play while in this lockdown hot AZ summer. Rented BOTW just to give it look and it brought back some nostalgia from when I used to play the original Zelda as a kid so bought the game. Been playing after the family goes to sleep. First video game I've actually got into playing since Halo back in the early 2000's. I feel to old to play sometimes when I'm struggling to remember buttons lolAussieBuck wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:Very late to the party but Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is an outstanding game.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

This looks awesome as hell. Basically a parred down Dark Souls with a forgiving "harden" mechanic. It's Souls for people interested in the genre but think the FromSoftware games are too much of an investment.
Out tomorrow, only $30.

Yeah it looks great. I'm very intrigued with the harden ability. I also would like to see if the rolls give you i-frames and which enemies you are allowed to parry.

Revisiting this post. I do not play and it's not a game for me, but it does look gorgeous. I'd find it something that would be fun to experience for a few hours (which I suppose would be one flight). I'll probably watch some YT videos.

I haven't played a MS Flight simulator in 25 years and never planned to again (also not for me), but if I ever get a Series X I may have to try it out. Looks mind boggling cool.

I heard someone say it was slower...more "Lords of the Fallen" than Soulsborne and I was out when I heard that. Going to wait a bit for more reviews because I can't deal with Lords of the Fallen lol.

So parrying seems pretty OP right now.

Saw this! They said it could miss this date too if there’s any issues. I’m ok with the wait.

Me too (though I of course want it ASAP).
I think I'll end up playing Kingdoms of Amalur finally when it re-releases on 9/9. It's now completely independent of sleezeball Curt Schilling, so I thought I'd finally check it out

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Anyone know how to tell when games will unlock on PS4? I want to figure out what platform is getting PGA 2K21 available first, between Steam and PS4. It looks like Xbox will get it at Midnight Friday, while Steam doesn't unlock until 3p...!? That might be a listing error. I can't find any info on PS4.
Essentially, I took off Friday (unrelated to the game), and I can't decide which platform I want to play on, so may use unlock time to determine what I get it on.

The only way I know for sure is after you've already pre-ordered. Having said that, I'm pretty sure most digital orders release at midnight on the release date (and allow you to download them ahead of time so that you can play at midnight on the dot). Not sure why PGA would be any different.
