Deni was a guy I would've been ecstatic for the Bucks to steal, so naturally I hate that trade and whatever the **** the Wizards are doing. Troy Weaver advising them to chase 30 wins instead of 13.

They got 4 picks and I'm not positive they want to keep Malcolm. I could see this Weaver trying to win 12 games instead of 15 and have more cap space and picks. Feel they could have Malcolm rest up and be 100% in January and look extremely appealing to a borderline contender with an expiring contract.

That's a lot of money to invest in OG. His season games played total for the past 5 years: 50, 67, 48, 43, 69. Midds has played more games over the same stretch.

I know next to nothing about Deni but guy was 23 and put up ok numbers on a horrible team. Is that a guy you want to throw an extension at or do a reset? Feel they got a decent haul of 2 first and a guy they can probably trade for positive value.

I agree with the direction for Washington, but think they could have gotten quite a bit more, but maybe they think they can flip Brogdon for extra value.

Would also add there's a lot of buzz Washington is trying to trade up higher than 14 and have continued to shop Kuzma, who's been widely speculated to potentially be headed to Sacramento for a package including the #13 pick.

Still remember the day Iso Joe signed that 6 year, $120m deal with the Hawks in the 2000s thinking how untradeable and egregious the money was.
