It must be that kind of week when it comes to news. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, an anonymous source revealed to them that Gearbox is planning to release more Borderlands 2 DLC during this year’s E3 to bridge the gap between the end of Borderlands 2 and the beginning of the upcoming follow-up in Borderlands 3.

Called “Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary”, the rumoured Borderlands 2 expansion will “allow players to get in one last hurrah, and sate the thirst for Borderlands that you might be feeling for the next few months.” No word exactly on what platforms the DLC will be coming to, but it’s assumed that PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will be a given.

Borderlands 3 will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC September 13.

Now this would rule.

I can get on board with this. I know the story is secondary, but I do like to know what's going on. So anything about bridging the gap would be nice. I'd otherwise stay away and just keep the idea of more BL fresh for the release of 3.

Do you think the Pre Sequel is necessary playing for the story/world context? Gameplay aside.

I don't think so. I might play Tales from the Borderlands though.

TLOU 2 is the only thing I'm waiting for news on. I was hoping for a fall 2019 release.

Everyone should check out Slay the Spire on PC, PS4, and Switch. One of my favorite games of all time.

Well cloud save loaded up my save file from my desktop just fine. However, when I went back to my desktop yesterday, it was showing my old save file. Okay, well I went back to my laptop, pulled up the character, played for a couple minutes, and exited again to try and force sync. Went to my desktop, still no dice. Did some googling, pulled it up on my laptop again, and now suddenly cloud save is syncing the old saves from my desktop. And I can't get my new saves back.

I'm sure that's hard to follow, so long-story-short is that cloud sync didn't work correctly and re-verted my save; I lost 10-15 hours of play time. UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH.

Sometimes old save files get thrown in the recycle bin on a Windows machine. Not sure if that is the case here. Otherwise, Steam Support....

Borderlands Handsome Collection is free on PSN for June.

There's a rumor that there will be new Borderlands 2 DLC that is released at E3 that covers some of the events that lead in to Borderlands 3.

Hope it's true!

P.S. Steam cannot fix their **** up Cloud or solve my issue, so I have to start over. I am turning off Cloud save for all my games and manually managing it. *sigh*

I've never been in a gaming rut like I've seemed to have been for the last however many months. Nothing has stuck. Have a handful of games and I'm not interested in playing any of them.

So I'm going back to Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. I probably played 20 hours or so three years ago and gave up/lost interest, but since then I've beaten Bloodborne, DSIII, and Nioh. I figure I'll probably be better able to handle it.

Really I'm just looking for a serious time suck because nothing else has worked in a long time.

I gave Divinity Original Sin 2 a second shot and it's really stuck with me this time. I looked up a few builds beforehand and it really helped.

That was me almost all 2019. Days Gone saved me. I’ve got close to 60 hours or so and I’m nearing the end. Freaking love it.

The sad part is that once it’s done, I have no clue what else to do with myself. I’m going to pick up Diablo 3 on the Switch in the meantime and if I can find a used Rage 2 I’ll dabble with that.

Thankfully not in the same boat as you guys. I don't have enough time to play all the games I want to. Right now I'm working on Grim Dawn and Dragon Quest 11. I have the first Legend of Heroes in my backlog, and I'd like to get back to Pillars of Eternity 2 to finish that before too long.

Path of Exile's new league is out in 5 days. I'm undecided on whether or not to play just because of what else it out there.

Super Mario Maker 2 comes out in a few weeks. Dragon Quest Builders 2 is out in early July, then Fire Emblem: Three Houses is out in late July.

I'm supposed to finish all this before Borderlands 3 comes out? Yikes.

After a late night of DS2 I know I'm out of my rut. I freaking love this game/style of game. The Hiede Tower knights gave me fits for about an hour and I died a couple dozen times, but then you git gud, they're a breeze, and you have a new level farming spot. Just dying over and over as a means to get better is really enjoyable to me, because with games like this you know there's a payoff from getting rolled.

DS2 gets a ton of flack for whatever reason, but man I love it. I only ever played Scholar on PS4 but it was as enjoyable to me as any FromSoft game I've played outside of the original Dark Souls. I prefer it to DS3 actually.

If you haven't played Dark Souls, you may as well pick it up for your next gaming rut. 8-)

DSII gets a lot of flak for some deserved reasons: it wasn't actually made by the main FromSoft team, which is why a bunch of the systems are silly - losing % of your HP every time you die, the ability to teleport from the onset (even if this was brought back in DS3), the asinine hit tracking, and the tendency for gank fights, among other things. That being said, it still has some of the best fights in the series (especially the DLC, which is pretty top notch - except for the final boss addition, which is just dumb) and may have the best PvP of all 4 of the Soulsborne games.

I never played the original, but I've read that a lot of improvements were made to the PS4 version of Scholar, at least. Improvements to the hit boxes and enemy placement, for example, to address some of your complaints. Either way, after being a veteran of PS3 DS and Des, I enjoyed playing 60FPS in HD on the PS4. As you mention, the DLC was awesome too.
