Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
A few weeks ago I moved the PS4 to the bedroom and kept the Xbone in the living room, which has kinda forced me to play it a lot more than I ever have before. It's how I got back into Fight Night, and what I picked up UFC for. Also spent some time in the Netflix style Xbox service that I've been paying for but not using.
A couple years ago I also bought versions of Fallout 4 and Skyrim. I'd finished Skyrim a bunch of times on the PS3 and bounced off FO4 on the PS4, but I was intrigued by how you could mod the hell out of both. I've spend a few days now in FO4 with some pretty god like and time saving mods because I want to blow through the stories more than anything. It's been a lot fun.

How is the new UFC? I may take out a month of EA Play to try 10 hour trials of UFC & Madden (least excitement for series ever). I've heard alot of good things about the UFC career mode.

A friend of mine that is huuuge into fighting games (though like RS, Fight Night was his favorite) is in love with the new one. He says this new UFC game is the first time he's ever been able to get into the ground fighting; he hated everything outside of stand-up fighting in the previous UFC games. I forgot that I can try this out with EA Play...I might have to do that too.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
In desperate need of a new game to hold my attention but I struggle so much. I needed Cyberpunk, but I'm ok with a delay to make it a good game on launch.
Thought I'd maybe give PGA Tour 2k21 a try, but after watching reviews I'll wait for it to drop to $20-30. Tried the Factorio demo, for whatever reason couldn't get into it. Anyone play much of Greedfall? On sale for 50% off now.

I'm still more or less glued to 2K, Overwatch, or Siege when my friends are on, or I'm playing PES or Fall Guys on my own.
I finished Uncharted: Lost Legacy (which was great), and I'm considering trying to get back into RDR2 to finish the story, but I don't know if I'm really feeling it right now. Might just stick with PES, Fall Guys, and maybe give UFC a spin with my trial.

A trial is all the time you'll need with UFC, and I liked the game.

Career mode sounds a bit disappointing, which is...disappointing (struggling with words this morning

And this all actually makes me think I need this one for PC to open up more modding possibilities. I'm sure someone will mod the entire tour field into the game in a month's time.

Career mode sounds a bit disappointing, which is...disappointing (struggling with words this morning). But I'll point out that custom societies are where it's at for this one. Someone here (manchu maybe?) helped get me on the right track during my time with Golf Club 2019. The focus of the game is on the actual game of golf, which sounds better than ever.

Ordering the $70 edition tonight myself. Loved the first 3 titles, understanding they are more generic than the previous Tiger games but the gameplay is fun especially with friends in societies as you speak. I’m not into cosmetics so much but I’ve become very willing to contribute extra $ to smaller devs I appreciate. HB Studio has been great from day 1. I really hope the addition of 2k doesn’t change what they started entirely.

I’ve heard this from a few as well. I’ve heard the career mode is a very pleasant upgrade. My issue with the UFC games always has been it’s a sport and game with a lot of repeatability. We just picked 3 up a few months ago for like $8 so I’m not sure I wish to invest $60 on a new one just yet.

Yeah, I think 10 hours should probably be enough to get through the career if it's anything like the other UFC games.

Yeah, it's really all about the online societies. There's one called TGC Tours that does a legitimate online league just like the PGA Tour. I never committed myself to it that much, but that's really where it's at if you want to really get into the game. They have different divisions and promotion/relegation and stuff so that you don't just get waxed by a guy that can shoot -30 every round. Highly recommend it if you're looking to spend a lot of hours with the game.

Downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator as it's on Xbox Game Pass. Went surprisingly fast for 132GB. Started her up, smacked with a 90GB install that's taking a looooong time. They punk'd me good.

This looks amazing. I will definitely check this out for 2k21. Love that there are different leagues you can start in as you build up your skill. Nice website too!

Downloading PGA Tour on Steam. Hopefully chill with a round or two tonight.

I'm basically bouncing back and forth between ACNH and the FIFA 21 closed beta. I don't think I'll be getting any new games until the PS5 comes out.

What's the best/seamless smart hub for your home? Looking to start changing light fixtures and bulbs out at our place and figured if we were going to do it now's the time. Our house has 3 levels so I'm looking for something you can connect through other smart devices. Also, is there a home bundle or something that kind of sets you up with what you need? I've seen the Brilliant smart hub just looking for other comparisons by someone who actually has one.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Friend of mine got me into Fall Guys yesterday. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it, but I got pretty hooked. It's a lot of stupid fun. So I ended up holding off on PGA for now as I'm terrible at playing multiple games at once. Will either pick it up if I get bored, or sometime when it goes on sale on Steam (winter sale maybe?). But now THPS, Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning, and the BG3 EA are coming up.

I started playing Fall Guys and always got booted because of server issues. Guessing it's probably fine by now. Their Twitter account is the best. Raised a ridiculous amount for charity.
