It's the right move to rest him, but this just puts more wear and tear on Dame and Brook's joints and we're really gonna need Kevin Porter Jr., Rollins, and Kuzma to step into bigger offensive roles. Agree completely, we can't risk running Dame and Brook into the ground. Put it on the young guys & the coaching staff to step up. If they can't make it to the playoffs we're screwed anyway.

But in case people haven’t noticed, we badly need better 82 game players. After today, plausible Detroit will be one game behind us in the standings.

While yes, I imagine many would have kept him knowing what we do now, when people say things like this it is always ignoring that our roster was much different back then. Even in his last year: that younger Jrue was a 20ppg AS player, Lopez was DPOY runner-up, everyone loved Bobby back then, and we'd all kill for that Grayson Allen on this team with how little depth we have. The player personnel picture just gets rosier and rosier the farther back you go.

We don't know what it would look like for Bud trying to coach this older, slower, less athletic team either.

I’d like to know how much player personnel input Doc and the owners have. Plausible Doc is behind all our personnel mistakes the past year.

Would Doc want Porter Jr? I would think he would want another Delonge Wright retread and hope it works out. Porter feels more like Horst.

In all seriousness, the Pistons are 26-26 and only two games behind us in the standings. Somehow a team without Dame and Giannis is able play Malik 27mpg and he’s averaging 16ppg on good percentages.

We had no avenue to pay him what he got, and we needed a defender, which he's not. He's playing better this year, but he wasn't good last year.

I'm far more concerned with all the good players we passed on in the draft than a scrub felon like Beasley. There also might be some more news about Beasley coming out soon.

Yeah he was a great signing for his value. It would have been nearly impossible for us to pay him 6M right? I’m honestly happy for him. I enjoyed watching him shoot the ball

Hell i think 6 million is a bargain for a guy who is shooting over 40% from 3 replace pat with beas would be cool to have 2 40% 3 pt shooters on the bench with trent starting

Am I missing the obvious here? Beasley was on a vet min 2 million dollar deal without bird rights. So we could have signed him for 2.5 million at most.

Dame is quick, coordinated and knows how to take care of himself.. he goes wide around screens to protect himself.. I think he loves playing the superhero role.. let him be and sit him later a couple games if he needs it after Giannis comes back.. then try to end the season with a healthy crew... sitting Giannis right now might be what we learned from last year
