Power forward, no problems. Takes him from 4th to third for me.

Been waiting for that. Any word on his weight? And Embiid's height/weight?

Also with weight, I think they said he gained 15 pounds of muscle so that puts him around 265

There's some hope that Cleveland does something dumb and leaves Embiid for us. There has to be some chance.

why? #2 is pretty damn awesome.

picture boston or memphis losing their top 2 spots the year durant and oden came out

we got damn lucky we only moved back one spot. i don't think the general buck fans appreciate that enough.

I think it's the slimmest of chances but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't clinging to it right now.

But really, there's basically no chance Embiid doesn't go #1. It kills me how close we were to coming, and that we were jumped by Cleveland of all teams, but it is what it is. Thankfully, there is at least one more blue chip prospect in this draft as consolation.

My concerns with his athleticism aren't with an alley oop or a full speed breakaway dunk.

Posting gif's of pretty much any player is mostly a waste of time because you can make a gif of tons of players which makes them look awesome on that given play. Hell, someone could put together a 3-4 minute highlight reel of Jennings with Detroit last year which would make him look like a top tier PG.

I don't see anything wrong with posting a gif to admire the athleticism or skill from one play or sequence or whatever. The problem comes when people try to extrapolate that out to a bunch of other things.

There is always hope with Cleveland picking, my friend. Keep hope alive. I'll still be extremely excited for Wiggins at #2. In today's NBA you can be a championship caliber team with good wing players and serviceable bigs.

From December 20th or so onward this was always the Embiid draft. We just let some chicken littles dance in the road the past two months while Embiid was on the shelf. It confused the situation too much.

I think there is a very, very small chance they take Wiggins because of perceived upside and how the game has evolved away from low post bigs. I'd be pretty shocked by Parker.

But, yeah, I think the Embiid train has left the station.

Wiggins measures 6' 8.75 7 foot wingspan. Almost identical to parker. Good measurement for him I thought he would be a little smaller.

Need to hope and pray that Wiggins is lights out when he works out for Cleveland and that Embiid misses every shot he takes in his.

I hate measurements exclusive to wearing shoes. Some guys wear slippers and get .5 inches from them, others clown shoes and get 2.5 inches. You can change your shoes. I just want the heights sans shoes, and then I can add 1.25 inches myself to them for your real height. Then they can't pull fast ones. There is a level playing field.

You've been playing the "bad cop" since the beginning of the Parker vs. Wiggins debate. Don't front like you've been the dialectic one since you've never criticize Wiggins the way you did Jabari here, despite the fact that you can find plenty of numbers to make him, or any other college player look bad. It's just that Jabari's flaws have to be highlighted because he can't jump as high as Wiggins can.

This whole thing about gifs started with one of Andrew making a fast break dunk, which you and your boys were drooling over. Somehow, a gif of Jabari doing the same thing isn't as impressive.

Highly critical video analysis of Wiggins getting shut down by Marcus Smart is dismissed as being meaningless and almost completely ignored, but a picture of him jumping high is enough to have everyone want to take him with the 1st pick. As if having mad hops guarantees that you'll be a great player eventually. Do you guys not remember that we had a player signed to a 10 day contract last season who could jump higher than Wiggins?

What about that grantland piece which featured professional NBA scouts sh*tting on Wiggins while praising Jabari and calling him a "giant Paul Pierce". Nah, some dude here knows a random Duke fan who says Jabari won't make it in the league. Let's listen to him instead.

Video of Jabari looking quick as hell with smooth handles, slimmer than ever has been ridiculed for being nothing but a workout video by the same guys who were so impressed with Embiid making routine dunks...in his workout video.

Can't forget about the short clip of Jabari doing a 360 jam. Some guy said that every player in the league other than Steve Nash can do a 360 dunk so it's not impressive.

I'd personally be fine with either one of these scrubs as long as we fire Larry Drew. I'm just trying to point out the hypocrisy that goes on around here. Also, I'm trynna play the bad cop. :reporter:

For the record, I wouldn't listen to anything Steve Kyler has to say evaluation-wise. He is one of those guys who just doesn't have the eye at all and is almost always wrong in his own analysis. He is good when it comes to insider info type stuff.

Impossible to gain that muscle in two months. Impossible.
