Butler is a really bad fit here. You can talk about the value I guess, but I don't see him sticking around beyond his current contract. Not to mention he's a ball dominant guard who is an average shooter. Anything reasonable gets a pass from me.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Then package Monroe and #17 for D'Angelo Russell instead of the Lopez deal.

Russell
Middleton
Butler
Giannis
Nurkic

Imagine trading the equivalent of Jabari, Thon, and Brogdon and getting back a top 15 player.

I wouldn't want to give up on Thon that easily./green

I just can't believe the Celts didn't trump this terrible offer. I thought it was bad initially when I thought Bulls were still keeping their own pick, then I saw they just moved up 9 spots and laughed at it and couldn't believe how weak the offer is.

Although everything I read is that Lavine is a hard worker and nice guy so there's no reason to worry about the ACL
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

Michael Wilbon (Bulls fan) last night was not thrilled with the trade...

Butler trade was woeful, Markkanen pick questionable, but how the hell are you going to sell your second-rounder when you're a rebuilding team??? That's inexcusable

Good to see that there are still a decent number of meddling ownership groups worse than ours. But hey there's still time...

Yep, I can't believe that was the best deal. And then on top of that having to bend over and give them the 16th pick too, have some respect for yourself Chicago.

I think that GM group has been exposed as completely clueless

And just when you thought that the Bulls made a smart pickup with Jordan Bell in the 2nd round, they gift him to Golden State for cash considerations.

My best guess is and I thank them greatly for it is they were going to move Butler West. not to a good team in the east. They may have gave away the best player in Bell out of everyone they picked up last night, just asinine.

So Ainge didn't want to give up #3 for Butler? I have to assume unless the Bulls simply valued LaVine + Dunn + #7 that much more. If they didn't though, then Ainge just passed again on another star player he could have had for peanuts. He probably could be sitting with both Cousins and Butler by now....

The Bulls moves have been bad. The one thing I hated was giving up pick 16 with Butler. I can't believe Minnesota would have pulled the offer without it.

The one positive is the 2018 draft is supposed to have one superstar (Michael Porter) with a few other all star prospects being compared to Olajuwon/David Robinson. If a team is going to tank, this is the year to do it.
