How the hell do we "clean up gross contracts" and "get a shot at a title" with that trade when we are taking on 2 of the top 4 worst contracts in the league and get worse?

Might as well throw DDV and the Indy pick in while we're at it if we are suggesting horrible trade ideas that should never happen

Who in their right mind would give Thon more than a minimum contract? What a disastrous miscalculation thinking a forced trade would improve his earnings. If Thon stayed collecting DNPCDs with the Bucks, someone would have paid more for the mystery box. Now every team’s had every opportunity to see how bad he is.

I said Bucks should work him out with the team & see if he can have a role here already. He's hitting up the Heat too. For a second I wondered if he meant he heard there's openings with Miami. Guess he is from Florida though.

But I see he's talked about coming back to Milwaukee in his timeline.

I still kinda like Gary Harris. Denver has no reason to want Bledsoe, but a third team might.

He actually forced a trade?

My Pistons will be basically fielding (hopefully) an expansion team next season and I’ll be largely disappointed if we give him anything too far past minimum.

The 2013 version of me would be crying tears of joy to see people on this forum advocating for names like "Davis Bertans" and "Nemanja Bjelica." Always room on my socialist Euro wagon.

https://tradenba.com/trades/SGu8faQT8

Bucks in: CP3, Buddy, #12
Bucks out: Mids, Bledsoe, Ersan, RoLo, DJ, #24

Bucks get a brand new, much better shooting backcourt. Use #12 on Aaron Nesmith, resign Wes, sign Baynes, buy 2nd (draft Tillman), fill in with guys like Skal/Dragan/Josh Jackson.

CP3/Hill/Mason
Hield/Donte
Wes/Nesmith
Giannis/Tillman/Thanasis
BroLo/Baynes

Kings in: Midds
Kings out: Buddy, Jabari, #12

Kings move on from Hield, who doesn't want to be there, getting an upgrade at SF that they can sell to their fan base.

Thunder in: Bledsoe, Ersan, RoLo, DJ, Jabari, #24
Thunder out: CP3

Thunder move on from CP3 while picking up another 1st and a slew of expiring contracts, saving $26 million in 21-22.

Bucks: Gary Harris, Jalen Brunson
Mavs: Eric Bledsoe
Nuggets: #31, Delon Wright, Justin Jackson, DJ Wilson

Mavs get the best player in the deal without giving up a top seven player in their rotation. Nuggets clear salary to resign Grant, get a great second round pick and a guy in Wright who prides another ball handler. Might set the stage for bigger Monte Morris/Michael Porter roles.

Brunson and Gary Harris are injury risks but they're both tough, defensive minded young guys who compete hard as hell who fit in any backcourt combination with Donte, Hill and Matthews. Would necessitate finding a FA big with a little more offensive capability, like Saric.

I like this trade but think we still need to add another big who can shoot 3s and a more athletic big who can defend on the perimeter. Bjelica would be the perfect stretch 4 and likely could be had for Ersan/RoLo and #24. Then simply sign Noah Vonleh or Patrick Patterson.

Holiday / DDV

Giannis / Paschall
Lopez / DeMarcus Cousins, nerds

I don't think Holiday is the answer. He is a 2, and we need a 1 that is elite in the pick and roll. If we made that trade with the Warriors, I would package Wiggins and Paschall with #24 for CP3, then trade #2, Bledsoe, and Hill for Vucevic, and Brook for Lonzo Ball. Waive Ilyasova

Vucevic/Rolo
Giannis/Wilson
Lonzo/Thanasis
Matthews/DDV
CP3/Mason
still learning the game

Seems like Harris would be a really expensive back up for Donte. Denver will have to give a up a pick to make him disappear, he was below replacement level last year, not even Thon Maker was that bad. He's become a $19 million Sterling Brown. G league journeyman PJ Dozier was stealing his minutes in the playoffs.

We can do better than Brunson for Bledsoe.

I really don’t think the rest of the league values Donte all too highly. He’s our one “young” player who doesn’t completely suck, so I think we’re projecting a bit on to him.

To an outsider he’s a soon to be 24 year old small SG who can defend but has a streaky shot and shaky handle without a clear/obvious path to becoming a starter.

There’s a litany of guys out there like him. Most teams have 2 or 3 right now because they don’t draft complete turds with every first round pick. If he were on another team, his value on this board would be nil.

Dang, you make it sound like DDV is Nate Wolter.

What’s truly wild is that a squad solely comprised of Bucks alumni overseas would get absolutely smoked on a nightly basis in Europe. A guard rotation of Tyler Ennis, Nate Wolters and Rashad Vaughn might get a team relegated.

Didn't Larry Sanders get to do a couple tryouts 2 or 3 years ago and prove without a doubt that he doesn't belong?
