Hopefully DDV learns a lot from Jrue. DDV can become an elite defender if things go well. Welcome Jrue!

Man, we are gonna love him here in Milwaukee! This should be our focus from this offseason, who cares about the bad Pat signing, everyone else we signed was decent in my eyes. We upgraded our playmaking and got rid of the choker Bledsoe. It is going to be real nice to have him creating and bringing more excitement to this team.

I'm hyped! And I am sure Giannis is too and he will sign soon.

Jrue is an All-Star in the East. That would make 3 for your Milwaukee Bucks. If this trade is packaged with an extension and a Giannis supermax, you pay the price they paid 10 times out of 10.

Yep. Jrue is a multi All Star by now if he’s on a somewhat competent team in the East. His numbers speak for themselves. His talent level compared to Bledsoe is going to become very apparent very quickly and I’m very excited to watch him operate with Giannis and Khris

Yep. There is zero chance the agent leaked this out in advance, other than a "we're talking hot with Milwaukee about a contract". That's what you do to get interest from other teams, if you're going to play the media.

You're not going to tell Woj "a trade for these three players is in place and my client's contract numbers will be x".

We have a history of an impulsive front office member, who craves media approval. This whole thing seems quite obvious to me. YMSV (Your mileage shouldn't vary) 8-)

I think we will be surprised how much of an upgrade he is going to be. A lot like what we saw when Bledsoe came in and pushed Brogdon out from being our starting PG.

Jrue is going to be a monster in the East. I honestly think he's going to have a Butler like effect on us, before last season Butler was probably only a little better than Jrue IMO. The gap between Jrue and Bledsoe is insane and people are going to be in for a treat.

I agree. This dude can get to any spot he wants, which is just what we need. He's a high level two-way player. And the upgrade I may be most excited about is the significant brain fart reduction lol.

I'm sure he's gonna be great playing next to Giannis and Bud will get the most out of him like he does all his players. Key is gonna be how this all ends as far as how much of a talent upgrade he really is. I've always felt there was a bit of a disconnect between the perception of Jrue as a player vs. the actual results when paired with another MVP level talent in Anthony Davis. Can buy the roster and coaching excuses to an extent, but those guys didn't do too much winning in their time together with the Pelicans, despite theoretically being a great fit.

I mean, they went to the second round two years ago with Jrue and AD before losing to GS. The following year was defined by all of the AD tumult.

I think he has a better team around him in Milwaukee than he did in NO.

We've been this close with Bled. Jrue is more than a marginal upgrade from him.

Giannis, Khris, Brook AND Jrue is really formidable.

Those Pelicans teams were really not good at all outside of Jrue and AD. Even the one year they were very good (17-18) it was really just Mirotic and Rondo in the playoffs, after that you had the likes of ETwuan Moore, Solomon Hill, Ian Clark, etc. And they still managed to destroy Portland and take a game off the Warriors.

NOLA’s W/L isn’t an indicator of Jrue’s impact the same way it wasn’t with AD.

For perspective...

Remember, upon our collapse, Jrue was the "pie in the sky" option being bandied about.

- CP3 was moody, old and expensive.
- Conley was old and uninspiring.
- John Wall was expensive and a massive risk.
- Patty Mills was also old and not impactful enough.

Jrue felt unattainable. We paid richly, but if he and Giannis are a package deal, it's a home run.

Am appreciating the posts hyping Holiday!

I badly want to believe.

If Giannis + Jrue extend it's worth the gamble.

However if the team just isn't good enough to go the distance than Giannis might demand a trade soon enough even after signing a supermax.

Finally.
11 years too late, he should have been a Buck since his draft but oh well, we have him now. Underrated and I feel he will thrive here, become an all-star again and give this team a new dimension

I watched the yt video attention on details on Jrue... and he has some Fotis in him. I change my release point when I get mid range near the FT line too, like he does. I was rarely blocked and my shooting touch was softer that way. My 3pt shot release point was lower with one motion quick release. Excited to see him as a Buck, lets see what he gots

So somehow the Cavaliers weren’t involved in this trade and still made out like bandits.

Ensuring the Bucks 2022 First Round Pick is Unprotected in the supposed “Super Draft”.

Giannis has the ability to either bring Glory or Devastation with his upcoming decision.
