Got to be a way (3 way?) to get one of the Knicks spare guards.

Wenyen Gabriel with 10 points and 10 rebounds in 12 minutes.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Anyone know anything about Gleeson?
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Jarrett Allen or Nic Claxton would be decent targets.

I'm at the point where I'm close to giving up on the idea that Griffin is gonna have this group playing consistently at a championship defensive level without a significant personnel addition/change. It is what it is. Just find a way to get one of the following guys and I'd feel a lot better about not having to play perfect offense to win a championship.

with a guard rotation of Dame/Beasley/Cam Payne i think a championship level defense is never happening no matter the coach lol

Nah, this idea is still legit crazy. Dame/Beasley/Cam vs. Jrue/Grayson/George Hill is not the difference in historically great defense and "struggling to not be one of the 8-9 worst defenses in the league". There was zero resistance at the rim last night and that's not just because guys are getting beat on the perimeter.

Yeah, with the same front court we’ve gone from top 2-3 in paint defense within 6 ft every season of the Bud era (excluding the year Brook missed most of the season) to league average this year. We’ve also gone from #1 in rebounding last season, and top 3 every year of the Bud era except the Brook back surgery season, to #18 in this year lol. The back court ain't fully explaining away those drop-offs.

Thankfully, the trade off is worth it and we’ve at least improved from 30th in opponent turnovers to…29th this year lol.

The stuff I saw last night wouldn't be fixed with a defensive stopper on the wing. There were fundamental issues that would seem impossible if you had either Brook or Giannis on the court, much less both.

Griffin runs a dumb scheme and we're much weaker defensively at he guard, both are true. I kinda wonder what this team would have looked like had we not made the Lilllard trade, at least we don't have to worry about Giannis resigning now ig.

its not zero resistance at the rim, its zero resistance at the 3pt line allowing the guard to just walk into open shots/floaters

No, but I feel like somebody needs to point out to Vaughn that his post game comments are what you say when you play your guy 25-30 minutes, not 12.
