I don't know BL as well as you do, but it looks pretty cool. I rememeber thinking that 3 did too, though, and I bounced off of it quite quickly. Will keep my eye on it. I do like the big cat that changes colors as your guns change element types :D

Ha, this is exactly what I was referring to. I just did a bunch of side stuff and leveling up my (mostly non-combat) skills for the first 20 hours of the game. Did the entire Dark Brotherhood storyline.

Started the Kvatch quest and found it basically impossible.

Only a half hour in and yea, can already tell this is a masterpiece.

Well I finally finished up the main story in AC Shadows... I really enjoyed the stealth gameplay & overall combat, however everything else was very meh to me. The nonlinear storyline became so irritating that I sped through the cutscenes on my final targets. I'm kind of sad about that too because the intro act was soooo good but, man, did they drop the ball there. You have basically zero interaction with just about all the main "bad guys" that I just wanted to get it over with.

Expedition 33 is next! I played through the prologue earlier this week & can tell it's going to be special

Yea, this is exactly how it was in the original. Sometimes I'll just bank levels and not actually sleep so I can stay lower for a bit. When you get the Spider Daedras (level 17 and above) it's damn near game breaking. I would hope they'd patch out some form of an update.

I guess I have never had this issue waiting to do the main quest in Oblivion. Usually by the point im high level my blade and armor skill are so high I just wreck stuff. Couple with a few strong potions and the insane spellcasting in Oblivion you can wreck stuff on normal difficulty. Now if you go in level 20 with only alchemy and some bs leveled high you wont have a good time but I've found it fairly easy to get blade and armor up in every playthrough ive done. I usually start hitting the trainers for other stuff once I have alchemy high level and just endless gold anyway.

I uninstalled it for now, but I was having a good enough time that I could see starting a new character and plan accordingly this time. Like, I didn't realize that gear had levels. I thought getting an end-game sword early just meant you got an end-game sword. I think I like this, but it would have been nice to know that going in.

Doing POE private legaue shenanigans for the weekend, but did one more quest before - just so happened to be the famous painting quest. I forgot just how much better Oblivion quests were than Skyrim. It's not like it's Witcher or something, but the quality of these quests (including MQ) were super good for the time and still stand up pretty well.

It's gonna take me a lot longer than 35 hours to get through Clair Obscur. I've been obsessive about getting through every combat encounter without getting hit, and memorizing every parry. No dodging. I'm having an absolute blast. What a game.

Just finished Act 1. Spent a handful of hours farming the same dumb idiot for XP and got my team all around level 35. They're extremely OP for where I'm at in the game. Absolutely loving it. The writing and acting is so so good. Gameplay is completely genius.

It's pretty amazing what they managed to do with Expedition 33. I'm in Act 3 and there's a bit of an issue, but it's good **** despite some minor hiccups at the end.

Xbox recently made you able to purchase games through their mobile app. But that made them push remote play to a web browser only. Otherwise they’d have to give Google/Apple the 30% cut.

Needless to say, it has ruined remote play for me. I can hardly connect, instead of just connecting through my WiFi it has to go through their servers. Lags non-stop, doesn’t even connect half the time. Bought that Backbone controller attachment and now it’s worthless.

Steam Link still works, but I’m very much annoyed at Xbox not just making a separate remote play app…

Rockstar games are always worth the hype. They’re one of the few companies that I’m fine with taking decades to put out a game because they are amazing. This looks incredible.

I tried out Blue Prince last night, which had a couple weeks in the spotlight as a media darling. I appreciate puzzle game every once in a while, but this one was really not for me. Puzzle + procedurally generated roguelike elements felt ****. Like, you understand something about a puzzle but you can't get it on your run because you can't get the elements you need to generate. It's much different than something like Dead Cells where you can just go back to x biome if you want to follow a certain path; it's like...I need to go to the bunk house room but it's not generating on this run. It's really weird.

GTA looks insane as expected. No PC version till 2028 though so not even thinking about it.

Oblivion just got wayyyy harder for me. If there is ever 2 people fighting me I better have potions and my summon Headless Zombie ready to go or I'm screwed. All my enchanted items lose charge ASAP. My armor breaks asap. I'm not a high enough level to repair enchanted items either. Nor am I a high enough skill level to Soul Trap yet to fill my gems. Need to work on those skills before I start doing major stuff but I'm 1-2 quests away from completing the Mages Guild. Crazy how quick a night can go by.
