Disappointed to hear that. Really like that guy but he’s starting to border on obscurity if he doesn’t right the ship soon. This was a great opportunity.

He's doing a Brando impersonation if the role was for a Godfather spoof. I don't mind some of the other actors clearly hamming it up (Hardy rules), but Brody is just so awful.

Yeah, I just started getting into episodes he's a bigger part of. That's exactly what it is.

Saw TLJ on Christmas. Pretty much saw it as an average film. I wasn't really engaged in it throughout. Probably Star Wars'd out.

Bright is getting absolutely eviscerated by reviewers. Is it really that bad? Naturally though, this is Hollywood in 2017, so it's already getting green-lit for a sequel:

I enjoyed the hell out of it. Perhaps it's just because it reminded me of an RPG I used to play though.

Could've used an exposition dump at the beginning but out side of that I thought it was damn good

I'm caring less and less about critics these days. The Last Jedi got a 93% fresh rating and the Ghostbusters remake which is legitimately one of the least funny comedies I've ever seen is in the 80s. They're in bed with the studios.

I think the bit about fairies being marginalized really turned some people off. At least Tomorrowland waited until the end to get preachy.

The Shape of Water was the best movie I've seen this year. It is a familiar story and you can see the plot coming from a mile away but it was so beautifully executed that it didn't matter. Del Toro crafted such easily likable protagonists and easily hatable antagonist. His best work I believe. Now that it's pretty much the end of the year and I don't anticipate seeing anything new before '18, here's my final ratings for movies I've seen this year (that I remember).

The Shape of Water
Thor: Ragnorak
American Made
The Disaster Artist
Logan
Wonder
Get Out
Baby Driver
Chef
Girls Trip
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing
Coco
Suburbicon
War For the Planet of the Apes
Life
Blade Runner 2049
Atomic Blonde
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Wonder Woman
The Foreigner
The Wall
Kingsmen: Golden Circle
Fist Fight
Dunkirk
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Alien Covenant
Battle of the Sexes
Jumanji
Kong Skull Island
Murder on the Orient Express
LBJ
Split
Boss Baby
Daddy's Home 2
Spider-Man Homecoming
Happy Death Day
Bad Moms Christmas
Lego Batman
POTC: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Justice League
Baywatch

Spoiler:
In the beginning there's a couple scenes that show the main character masturbating which I initially dismissed as gratuitious and unnecessary but really it was kind of necessary to show in some way that this character while the epitome of innocence and somewhat child like, was definitely an adult sexual being.

Didn't come off preachy at all. That was a throw away line meant as a joke. If people got turned off by tgat they need to stop being too damn sensitive

Spoiler:
Probably don't need spoilers for this, but I had just finished watching Twin Peaks: The Return before seeing Star Wars, so for me it was more like "OMG DIANE IS IN THIS!"
PS: Twin Peaks was the best show of the year
