“We’ve got three more roster spots, one of them they’re giving to my brother,” Giannis said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “I don’t know if that’s official yet. I don’t know if I can talk about that. But if Thanasis would be on the team, it’d be amazing. He’s one of those guys that you can tell him run through a wall and he’ll run through a wall.

“Energy guy. Getting better, learned the game playing overseas. Think he can help bring toughness to the team, especially on defense. And as he improves and gets better as a shooter, he can help space the floor also.

If that was anyone but Giannis my mind would be spinning.... But Giannis...Man he's awesome.
The space the floor bit is why Giannis shouldn't be allowed to make personnel decisions.

Or Korver is seriously considering retirement...

or he doesn't have the same schedule as the news thirsty fans and is chillin on a beach somewhere.

Korver has a guaranteed contract waiting for him from someone, no matter what happens in FA and trades for the next few months.

Why rush? FO execs always make moves to save their jobs today. Someone will offer more.

The Bucks should just have Thanasis watch Tony Allen film. Don’t worry about the jumper, focus solely on the defense. A skilled defensive player seems more useful as your last bench player than a shooter.

To be honest, Liggins and GP2 did more for the Bucks than Pau/Wood. Liggins has that 2 or 3 game stretch before he turned back into Liggins.

So what do we think the chances are that we do pull Korver vs Lakers or Sixers or another team in a glamour market?

As it stands he would have a chance to get as many minutes as he wants here considering how weak we are on the wings outside of Middleton. Also familiarity with Bud.

Giannis needs to work on a pull-up jumper and FT’s. That’s it. He’ll never be a 35% 3P shooter so he shouldn’t waste his time practicing it. His lack of a mid-range jumper and putrid FT shooting was glaring in the TOR, so let’s forget the 3P fairy tale and focus on what he CAN be pretty good at.

I couldn't disagree more. Improving his 3 ball is the best way for him to improve, and if he doesn't do that, the better teams will get better at defending him - in the playoffs.

Unless he starts shooting 35-40% from 3 (probably would need to be closer to 40%) teams are going to defend him the exact same way.

Giannis improving his FT shooting to 80ish% would be much more effective for changing how teams guard him as it would change just how physical opposing players would choose to play him

(also it's not like Toronto came up with a formula that allready hasnt been tried to death)

30% will be enough to be forced to guard him on the perimeter. He just needs to be stubborn enough to bomb away from 3 if left unguarded even if he missed consecutive shots.

He was hitting them at that clip and exceeding it in January and Febuary and in the POs..... It didnt change the way he was guarded in the least

An easier shot for him to develop is a pull-up, mid-range jumper. He just doesn’t have a smooth release and most of his misses from 3 are either airballs or barely graze the rim. They’re not close. Yeah, teams will always play five or six feet off him. So develop an 18-footer and the problem’s solved. The Let It Fly philosophy is fool’s gold for Giannis.

Giannis shooting 30% from 3 is fantasy unless he completely changes his form. Stop wasting time with the 3; his FT % is WAY more important to the team, so he needs to focus on that. For that matter, same with Bledsoe. Some guys will never be adequate long-range shooters, so they need to stop trying to fit square pegs into round holes.
