Smart move. Would like to see him on the Bucks.

Would have been really nice to have him back next year, but I think he made the right call.

His only question mark at the pro level is his ability to hit the three at a good clip. He had a great showing in the tournament but then regressed hard in the championship game. All other aspects of his game translate very well in my opinion. He will thrive in the transition game.

Shoutout to my guys Dekker and Frank the Tank. Its been a special few years. Thanks to both for coming back this year and eschewing guaranteed millions to make this run.

His career will hinge on how the 3 point shot comes along. I think he has pretty much everything else right now. Maybe tighten up the handle a bit as well.

Remember Sam won't turn 21 until next month. He'll have pros working with his shot. The problem with his form is something that can be fixed. He has a nice touch, so if he can get his release fixed, he should be good or decent for outside shots i.e. the three ball.
But what makes Dekker a possible very valuable player is his projection as a defender who can guard sfs and pfs.
Plus, he moves well without the ball but can also take players off the dribble.

IF Dekker developed a reliable jumper, could he play some 2-guard?

I saw it somewhere, but I like the Hayward comp for Dekker. I think Dekker will be a bit better defensively, though, while Hayward is probably a better passer.

Poor-man's Iguadola. That's how I see him.

Good luck to Sam. I think he's got a long career in front of him.

That was expected, but it's still disappointing. I'm not disappointed in him of course (it was probably the right decision), but as a fan. We have a lot to replace next season, and Bo is not the aggressive type to leave no stone unturned to fill a scholarship late in the process. Realistic best case scenario is he fills it with an intriguing sleeper. It seems more likely he banks both scholarships though, and that leaves me unsatisfied. I think he should refuse to not have someone on the roster next year that's 6'10" or above. Scour the world if you have to. Sabonis and Poeltl committed in April of last year, and if you want to go back to Bogut, that didn't happen until July. Bennett had a number of internationals on his teams. I don't think Bo has recruited a one. He has his aversions to grad transfers, but what would be his principal issue there? It's just not been his custom, but now he should have an impetus to do things a little different. The other scholarship it's fine if it's banked.

I'm definitely grateful though for Sam's and Frank's contributions to the teams the last few years. Congrats to them on their accomplishments and good luck in the pros. I think especially Sam doesn't need it, but they both should have lengthy careers where they make many millions. Knowing that is enough of a reward, but hopefully as a bonus that finally makes things easier on the recruiting trail.

Kostas Antetokounmpo is a better shooter than Giannis at the same stage. Not as good of a ball-handler/passer. But same great instincts on D

Kostas Antetokounmpo is the 3rd of four brothers. 6-9, long and agile. Raw with a nice feel. Zero NCAA scholarship offers! What the hell...

Yeah, I've been saying we should be all over Giannis' brother since I saw he was going to Dominican. I don't think we would have the normal Milwaukee disadvantages there. Figured being close to family would be big and he and the family would strongly value fundamental basketball. I'd be all over him.

You have to imagine there are some academic issues with Kostas. Not regards to his grades, but more of an issue with him coming from Greece to here midway through his high school career and transcript issues, which you tend to see in guys like this. You would think that will be cleared up over the summer.

With that said, it is shocking that UWM or UWGB havent offered him yet.

It's been leaked Wisconsin are likely to become the next Under Armour school, one day before Diamond Stone is set to sign with Maryland. Of course in all likelihood that's a coincidence, and it has much more to do with their awful tourney jersey designs, plus their deal with Adidas ending this year.

Finally! Adidas is embarrassingly horrible. Under Armour is much better but still not quite as good as Nike. Congrats!
