“Last night, for instance, we had the 19th pick, and we’re coming down and we’re actually talking to Milwaukee on the 17th pick, talking about trading up to get a guy we like,” Schlenk said. “There were a couple of guys we felt really good about on the 19th pick, obviously Kevin [Huerter] was one of them, and it leaked who Milwaukee was going to take.”

Unfortunately for the Bucks, Schlenk received an out from those talks when reports of Milwaukee’s intentions to draft DiVincenzo emerged and he realized there was no need to move up to secure Huerter’s services.

“So, all of a sudden, we were able to pull back out of that deal and keep the draft pick instead of packaging picks to move up because we knew that, two guys on the board we felt really good about and only one team in between us, so that was beneficial to us last night.”

Bud leaving the Hawks was a mutual agreement so not sure why there would be any sour grapes

Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things considering where we are as a franchise but in darker times we'd be talking about this often. Unbelievably amateurish.

I hope we can draft a Malcolm Brogdon type in the draft, I want a guy that can give us 10 minutes a game right away.
Out of the following 3 guys which 1 fits the best for us.
1.Ty Jerome
2.Dylan Windler
Tyler Cook

Iirc, wasn’t it Alex Larry who leaked the pick? God I hope that’s true.

What was the soundtrack background? That sometimes impacts things.

Don't know if we would draft a guy coming off ACL, but Okeke seems like an ideal fit for us. 39% from 3, can guard multiple spots, team first guy.

Okeke is a pretty complete player but his technique guarding the perimeter needs a lot of work, so that's a concern given I think he's going to be asked to do a lot of that in the pros. Did a lot of quarterbacking off the ball which obviously is great to see in a young player.

It’s really the primary concern. And, his lack of overall defensive strength I’ve seen when he clearly gets outmuscled/outworked by guys of varying sizes when they drive him to the rack. This being said, you’d have to be pretty damn intrigued if he was our pick.

How long ago was Okeke's ACL injury? Would he be ready for the season or would he redshirt his rookie year?

It would most likely be a post-ASB maybe. He injured his ACL in the Sweet 16? Best bet would be let him redshirt and work w Suki. Like a 2nd first rounder in 2020.

His surgery was April 2nd so you'd have a shot at getting him some minutes in the dog days if things go well with rehab.

Or a 1st 1st rounder, as the case may be.

I like what I see out of Dylan Windler from an offensive standpoint. The guy has a quick release on his shot and a sniper from beyond the arc. Don't know what he's like on the defensive end of the court.

I feel so lost with the draft this year. I've never been this out of touch on prospects as I am this year.
