By the time you see it at the playoffs, it will be too late to do anything. Playoff guards will most likely cook Hill , to the state of unplayable. Wes sign is trash too.
Hartenstein, Luke Kornet & Noah Vonleh where my targets for years. Bud&Horst underestimated Hood too so that story had a bad ending for us. Saying all that , Portis is a saviour. Portis will replace Brook , he won't be as good as a rim protector BUT he is more mobile and he will guard the mid range better. So don't worry that much about the C position. Cousins will have the last season Portis role, so we are good.
Bucks achilles in my eyes is the backup PG position. If anything happens to Jrue ... foul trouble or anything Hill is unplayable for heavy minutes against top tier guards. So Horst should fill that gap, with Dragic or Rubio or Satoransky or someone with playoff miles on his back.
Donte + Brook + something (a 2030 1st?) .. for Dragic or Rubio is a move I would make to cement my point guard options.
What makes you think 35-year-old Hill is cooked whereas 35-year-old Dragic is legit? He hardly ever plays for the Raps.
I'd much rather have Hill at 4 million over Dragic at 19.4 million. It ain't even close. The NBA is operating under a salary cap. Each player's value is always linked to his contract. No way would I touch Dragic/Rubio on their current salaries. If they get bought out, that's another story.
I'd absolutely love Satroransky on the Bucks! I'm a fan of his game since his euro days. Hopefully, the Pels will buy him out. He's on a 10 million expiring contract. Not a fan of Rubio on the Bucks cause he's an unreliable shooter. I reckon he'd be a bad fit next to Giannis.
