My recurring post that I hope John Hammond views DDV, Nwora and maybe that 2nd as enough for Bamba.

That just solves so many problems this season, and gives them insurance in the summer on Brooks health and Bobby's free agency.

Ibaka would definitely be the ideal buyout guy for this team. Fingers crossed.

I would love Ibaka but it feels like he hates Milwaukee. I could and would hate to see him go somewhere like Chicago

What would be the best possible future 1st we can even legally trade at this point? I know our draft cupboard is bare but I’m just curious. Do we have any enticing picks where we could actually land someone like Bamba without hoping a GM thinks DDV or Nwora are positive assets?

I know financially things have to match but sometimes a 1st round pick is the prize in the trade and the salary fillers can theoretically be anyone so I’m just wondering what that might look like for us…. Probably not good id imagine.

We have picks in 22, 24, 26 and 28 and have traded 23, 25 and 27. Our 24 and 26 are tied up with conditional swaps with New Orleans in the Jrue deal. You can't trade past 2028 and you can't trade 1st rounder in consecutive years. We can only trade a first if we receive a first in return that maintains the current pick structure (this is from Nehm's article).

Doesn’t appear so to me. Then again neither did Tucker. I think his impact is much closer to Marvin Williams. On the floor Tucker’s impact for us was really really overrated but he set a tone with his attitude and toughness. I don’t think Batum does much in those categories

I get the impression that if Orlando was offered a first rounder for Bamba he’d already be gone. So yes, hopefully they’d view Donte and Nwora’s RFA rights and a second rounder as akin to a first. They wouldn’t have to take any long term salary back either.

I know I’m alone but I still think Bamba has a high upside and this is the right system for him. Longer, taller Larry Sanders with a respectable three point shot is a pretty nice upside

On paper. But as stated, he’s a taint. He’s basically who everyone thinks Grayson Allen is. Dirty as they get and a punk. If there was a Venn diagram of nba personalities he’s on the exact opposite side of Giannis.

I will still continue to call the owners cheap because they could’ve kept pj(I was advocating for not re-signing him but that was wrong) and made the same moves this offseason, and even going back to not re-signing Brogdon(again didn’t want to re-sign him, and this move was probably right but was still solely based on money and took away talent from a championship level team).

But with all that said, them mfs are paying money for this team lol and that’s even with missing fans for a year and a half.

This tweet is encouraging because it shows that they’re putting their money where their mouth is, but in my mind I just can’t shake the feeling that this won’t last for more than another year and they won’t be willing to pay up for the remainder of Giannis contract.

If the Sixers do get Harden I certainly hope this is the case.

However considering Simmons is an asset no where close to the court I would imagine they would get better bringing in the Beard — even if they need to send out other guys to pull it off.

New Orleans should do us another solid and send us Jaxson Hayes. Looks like he's strung together some nice games this season.
