Brook Lopez is a useful player and a more flexible coach will capitalize on what he offers. He's a force on the block on both offense and defense, he has elite hands and with Bud, he showed an ability to amend his game to team needs. He's one of those guys if you put him in a spot to succeed, he will.

Playing Brook outside of the drop is like putting a Lamborghini in a trailer park. He’s the best Bucks free agent signee of all time, but you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think the drop is what made him an All Defense and DPOY caliber player. The whole basis of the Giannis at the 5 argument is how poorly Brook does chasing guys off the 3 point line. He’s the heart of Bud’s “system” that everyone has spent the last couple weeks disavowing. He was -75 in last season’s Celtics series.

There is absolutely ZERO basis to say Brook is 100% gone. That's a joke IMO. He's 2nd in DPOY, if we can get him back we will.
If the new coach comes in and runs the drop defense we are the dumbest organization in the NBA. You can’t cry out about the coaching and team not living up to the playoff expectations only to run the same ****. Brook is a drop center. Why the hell would he want to be somewhere that doesn’t get the most out of him.
Brook has plenty of use in non-drop defense. He's still an absolute unit at the rim which can be utilized in other ways. He's also aging, he knows he can stay where he's comfortable and play 20-25mpg and do just fine.
Don't be an idiot. He's not "for sure" gone. That's just hilarious.
Nurse would (hopefully will) play Brook 30 minutes a game, same way he played 34 year old Marc Gasol.

But he's still a Lamborghini then! They're valuable!
Replace the drop and parking him out at the 3-point line and insert cocaine and, I dunno, IG thotties with a sweet tooth for theme parks and brother, you got a stew right there.

Let's do a signature or profile pick bet on Brook being here next year at season start?

I do not know what to think of Lue. I watched very few Clippers games last year and its hard to judge a coach with Lebron in my opinion.

This is a fair criticism of Bud. There were a number of times he should have put Brook in the early Nets role.

Here's a wild one for you. Suns get run out in 4 or 5 games. Coach is fired and Bud goes him to AZ to coach the Suns.
Suns/Bucks do a sign and trade with Brook for Ayton as the principals. I know, tons of cap complications here, some tied into Middleton's decision.

3% of their attention? WTF does that even mean? Every team in the league is paying attention to....every other team in the league. In fact, each team has a GM and staff specifically paid to do just that. How do these talking heads shows have an audience? We are doomed as a species.

It was weird that we only featured him when Giannis missed games. Seemed like there could have more opportunities for him in games Giannis played. When they build a wall at the FT line, hard to deal with Brook down low too.

I feel like Bud just insists Ayton shoots 3s in this scenario. But I'd be down.

I agree. They are incompetent and predictable. It’s amazing but it’s going to be the lead on these stupid shows until Giannis either extends or is traded to the market they find acceptable

Journalist speak for talking out his ass, Giannis has years left on his contract regardless but the Knicks are keeping an eye on him. Okay sure dude.
not interested in committing to Ayton

Media reports on another team's player. - takes what media says as gospel, laughs at other teams trouble, makes a million bad trade ideas to acquire said player
Media reports about a player on your team- these lying mf'rs hate my team and are all conspiring to f- us!!!

I'm not pinning the loss solely on Giannis of course but making free throws, even going just 13-23, was an easy path to a win.
Go back and watch the variety of ways Giannis scored in that game compared to what he did this year and specifically against Miami too. I was always on Bud for not being my ideal playoff level coach but it must have been hard to try and build an offense around a guy who can't hit shots consistently outside of 3 feet.
