Re the lotto proposals. Not a fan at all of the first one that lowers the odds for the top 7 teams. All that will do is encourage the teams in 7-14 slot to tank harder and go higher to have better chance at a top 3 pick.

I do like the "Cleveland" rule which would prohibit back to back number on overall in the lotto. The idea of the #1 pick so valuable to any team for marketing purposes. Should be spread around a bit. If you get #1 overall, you should be fine getting no higher than #4 the next year.

So if I am not mistaken that firmly puts Giannis in their top 10

Replace "Sacramento" with "Sac Town" and it's a 10/10.

I was going through recent first round picks who are currently free agents and found Mitch McGary's post basketball life to be highly amusing. He has moved on to bowling, although a return to basketball isn't out of question (apparently bowling doesn't do drug testing)

So looks like Sacramento has ripped off the old premier league lion for centre court.

TBH the rampart version of the lion is the most common depiction of the animal in european coat of arms, by memory Flandres, Georgia, Bulgaria, most ex-German states, every Spanish autonomous region, half of the Balkanian and eastern europeab principalities,
and even in friggin Scandinavia and places where lions were considered in the same category as dragons, chimaeras and griffons.

So unless I'm mistaken the top 10 is:

Lebron
Curry
Durant
Giannis
Dray Green
AD
Kawhi
Harden
WB
CP3.

Seems fine. Green is about the only debateable choice. Imagine he'll be 10th.

It honestly just makes me think of soccer. I want to like it but I'm struggling.

Competition committee approves new lottery rules. Goes to full vote of the owners now on September 28th.

Changes go into effect for 2019 draft. Top three lotto teams each get equal 14% chance at #1 overall pick.

More to come from Woj.

I mean IMO worst record should get first pick, but I guess this is different. Teams still gonna tank when they are out of it.
