I don't see any reference of cooling your CPU with an AIO, so I presume you're going the air cooled route?

If that is indeed true, I would go for a case that's more optimized for air-cooling. I'd strongly suggest the Fractal Meshify C.

Aside from that, your build looks great.

I'm really really liking it so far! Glad to hear you're having the same experience. I think the league mechanic is awesome.

I haven't been able to decide on a build though to be honest. I started as a Lacerate Slayer, but then I got frustrated after I went on POE Trade to look for a new weapon and even Tier 3 leveling uniques were going for 15 chaos orbs lol. So I have shelved that character until melee prices come down.

I then made a Freezing Pulse Assassin, and I've really liked it thus far. I think I'm around level 55 or so maybe, I think I just finished Act 8. I think it's going to be awesome for mapping. Large groups of mobs just literally explode.

I think I've picked up 3 Humility cards thus far, you're more than welcome to have them if you need them. I lucked out with a Tabula drop so I don't really need them aside from selling them.

Sure it will be fun to play some multiplayer games.

Yes, I built my pc.

I promised my son that I would make him a YouTube Fortnite Streamer, if he brings all "A"s at school.

He did and I built the best pc I could, it took me a year to buy the parts.

He promised to keep "A"s every year. That is our father-son "agreement".

I am an old school gamer too. I still play video games when my son sleeps

You built the PC for your son..Yeah right...
That was the excuse for the wife wasn't it? :D

For some reason installing a cooler always worries me, not sure why. That’s why I was planning on just using the cooler that comes with the CPU but if you think that isn’t sufficient, maybe I do need to grab a different one.

Assuming you don't plan to OC it the stock cooler is fine, but I would recommend spending the $30 on this one. If anything it will protect your investment on an expensive CPU.

To be honest I'm not that familiar with Intel CPU's, I'm an AMD guy for CPU's.

With that said, reading up on the i7 8700 stock cooler and there seems to be some complaints. Both Tom's Hardware and Hardware Unboxed encountered throttled performance and heat issues due to the performance of the stock cooler.

Apparently the stock cooler is designed for 65w chip, which the 8700 ships as from the manufacturer. The problem however is that motherboard makers override the power limits to make the chip boost 100% of the time, often times reaching a 130w draw to ensure the higher clock speeds. There's many Reddit users who have complained of their 8700 overheating.

There's no harm in building your PC and taking a wait and see approach as it pertains to your CPU temperatures. Install HWMonitor so you can monitor all of your component temperatures. If you find that the system is getting too hot then I'd think about installing an aftermarket cooler. If temperatures are good, then you save yourself a few bucks by not just buying an aftermarket cooler off the bat. Coolers are super easy to swap out after the PC has been assembled.

Got myself an 8700k rtx 2080 ssd and 7200 rpm HD 32 gb ram from alienware outlet a few months back for 1300. It was a scratch and dent but came with 1year warranty. Happy I bought it. Kept trying to build my own but couldn't find the parts cheaper than a pre-built that I got. I went and got a 24 Inc aoc 1440p 144hz from amazon for 249.00 and everything came under 1600.

I appreciate it! I've moved on, though. I don't want to go try and farm 4 more :P I just got to maps after work and will farm there tonight for some currency and probably get some better armor for my build. I put a feeler up on the PoE reddit and lots of people responded they were having similar issues and suggested it might be indirectly an affect of smaller mobs, more powerful magics and rares. Maybe something there, who knows.

I've enjoyed making some modifications to the build I'm following. Hopefully I do a good job :) Great guide, but I think the author missed some updates for the patch (or wrote it before all the info was out). For example, need endurance charges - he has the guide using 4 points to go get a stave node which grants an endurance charge chance on hit. Not super helpful considering it's a dual-weird sword build - really just to get the 10% chance. Instead, I'm taking advantage of Leap Slam now guaranteeing a stun on hit, and using the Endurance Charge on Stun skill to essentially max out on charges as I clear. Save 4 points for somewhere else...just don't know where yet :)

Long story short, I'm not ready to make my own build yet, but I'm much more comfortable with builds in general and being able to make those kinds of decisions. Which is nice, after 200 hours of play

If I understand right, the first FF7 Remake game ("focusing on Midgar") is 2 blu-ray discs. Not the game itself in total is 2...the first part of it is 2.

Combat is blending real time and ATB; as your ATB bar fills up, you switch from real-time into paused combat where the menu comes up to use abilities, breaks, etc. Looks pretty **** sweet, tbh.
