Utah can't trade their pick because they might have to send it to Minnesota. It is lotto-protected this year, and top-12 protected next year, after which it becomes a top-10 protected pick swap option or a 2nd-rounder in 2012. Also, GS's pick is top-7 protected this year and top-6 protected next year, after which it becomes two future 2nd-rounders.

I would trade Bogut for GS's pick, which probably won't hit the protection threshold, but I would rather wait until summer. Just let Bogut sit and keep tanking. I hate the idea of trading him now, especially because they will get someone healthy and have a much better chance of making the playoffs. Yuck.

I'm glad I can read the title of this thread and take it as a grain of salt. With that being said, I don't believe this to be true.

I love how probably 75% of the guys respecting Bogut's game and acknowledging how good he is but being very happy about the trade because the organization is actually picking a direction are called "haters."

EDIT: "Picking a direction in our dream trades" (that will never happen).

How is Bogut tradeable right now when he probably won't play again this season unless we are going to give him away?

When is the last time someone was traded when they were hurt?

Bogut's time frame for the injury was 8-12 weeks 6 weeks ago yesterday and it hasn't changed, he's back in full rehab and has been working out for a couple of weeks now. Which part of that says he won't play again this season to you?

Yeah, I read a post wrong so my last post was probably misguided. Well, I'm sure there's 1 in this 9 page thread!

I don't believe a word Gery Woelfel says, I don't think he knows much more than any of us. I also think it's horrible timing to trade Bogut.

i don't hate the bucks, I love them and will still follow them after Bogut is traded. The only part of this franchise i hate with a passion is the direction they are moving with the pg. Jennings is a terrible, terrible pg and has very little trade value with other teams. He is one of the weakest starting pg in the league, who doesn't make his team mates better, takes way too many shots, is definetly the worst shooter in the league for the horrible volume of shots he takes and thinks he is way better than he is. This franchise during his era will never be anything more than a pathetic team which is such a terrible shame.
