Don't see the Thon comparisons. Their numbers are similar but from what I've seen of Bender he has much more a feel for the game than Thon, who was basically all spastic-energy with 100% effort.

This is about best case scenario for a last roster spot. As everyone else has said, former #4 pick who is still only 21. Spent time with a mess of an organization where very little development actually happens, it is hard to build confidence in that environment. Now he gets some stability with a great organization and a great coaching staff. This move makes all the sense in the world

Also have to laugh about this "not being thread worthy". It's July 25th on a Bucks forum, would you prefer to read about everybody's favorite type of jeans?

I am absolutely fine with this. He's still very young. There's little guaranteed money. Low risk, high reward. Plus, I think he'll have a chance to thrive in an environment without the pressure of being the #4 pick on his shoulders.

There's a real chance he doesn't do jack **** with us, but for the last roster spot, it makes sense to use it for a player like this who has talent that hasn't been realized instead of a towel waver with no upside.

Lol at the Thon comparisons considering Dragan is at least two years younger than Thon was when we drafted him. To this point he’s been a bust, but there’s real potential there and if it’s going to happen he couldn’t be in a better spot.

His name looks like Dragon so this is a massive win for us imo.

If any coaching staff can get anything out of him it's Bud's. I look forward to the few random posters calling for him to start over Lopez by December.

These types of signings are so much cooler now that we have a world class player development program instead of a complete **** who almost certainly would’ve broken him mentally.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the Bucks are a relevant, competent NBA team with the league's 24 year old MVP on their roster and a top 5 head coach.
