Pacers rejected Oladipo for Donte + Hill + #24 (per that Bleacher Report article on Bogdan mess).

Maybe they would reconsider a similar kind of deal if Donte has a hot start.

However I don’t think the Bucks would be as interested considering we could use more of a shooter next to Holiday.

72 games this year.

So another asterisk season, huh?

I'm kinda glad they rejected that...I like Oladipo...but injuries are a factor...It also would have meant no Jrue...to me he was the big get/upgrade...

Him being on Giannis list and hoping we’re not done trying to assemble the most competitive playoff ready group we can
Oh, I didn't hear about his list. Thanks.

Picked up the new 2K for first time in 3 years.

First game I played Bucks vs Lakers.

1st: 19-6 Lakers
2nd: 37-24 Lakers
3rd: 54-50 Lakers
4th: 64-78 Bucks

From this analysis, it is pretty obvious the Bucks will win the championship this year. All they gotta do is play smothering defense on LeBron. Dunk all over AD. Insert Craig into the starting lineup to start the 4th. And have Jrue finish layups on the fast break with the occasional Middleton 3. Easy.

I wouldn’t have offered that. Hill and those pieces all day over Dipo.

As angry as I can be about Bogdan, at least we got the best player traded this offseason (so far at least) in Holiday.

You can make the argument that Bogdan falling through was worth it when going all out for Jrue.

Similarly it’s possible the reports about the Thunder passing on our Schroder package and the Pacers passing on our Dipo offer was not the Bucks failing to close a deal, but us keeping our assets available for Jrue.

Alternatively we could have just panicked after those deals fell through while thinking we’d only get Bogdan this offseason, and as much as Giannis wanted him, it wouldn’t be enough. Then we offered the world for Holiday while messing up Giannis’ preferred acquisition, for better or worse.

If Donte has a hot start, he's probably looking like a flat out better player than Bogdanovic.

JayMKE wrote:Bud’s defense and Giannis make Brook look better than he is, he was like the one guy you’d circle on the calendar since Bogut would destroy him on both sides of the ball. Ersan’s 27 rebound game was against Brook too, the guy has always been a plodder. Personally I think he’s the most expendable guy on the team.

He's not the same player he was back then. One of the best rim protectors in the NBA.

The most difficult thing for me when it comes to dealing Brook is that he's one of the few guys that has played well in the playoffs over the last 2 years (minus the Orlando series where it was a bad matchup for him).

So I’m glad we didn’t deal Donte + Hill + #24 for Oladipo. The health concerns just seem too dicey.

Being glad the Bogdan deal fell apart due to Donte’s potential is a bridge too far for me though. It reminds me of the cognitive dissonance trying to justify bailing on Brogdon.

Obviously hoping Donte proves the Bucks wrong for ever considering so many trades of him this offseason.
