His shimmying wasn't even that bad. It was his 'get the fuuck outta here' gesture that was cold as ice. You're willing to sacrifice our love. I've seen it before it happens all the time. You're closing the door, you leave the world behind.

Did quite watch live because I was at my Tobes' under 10s final. He outscored the other team by 3. :lift:

I think he got hit or injured on that spin on Capela(not the big highlight) were he stopped, faked a hook and then scooped layed it in. He was in pain getting back in defense after that. In a timeout once it was all over in the 4th he was talking about it with a coach, showing the back of his knee going up but after a few seconds they were both laughing so I think he will be fine.

Sums up this game nicely. So smooth, so good, just at another level than the competition.

I can not blame him. He did not stay on the floor much to fully comprehend what happened.

Much like the nets series, we have the capability to play much better defense and that should give us the advantage over a 7 game series. If we keep up the intensity from tonight we can run away with this thing. PJ Tucker has been a huge addition to this team mentality wise too, don't think we're even in this game without that dude, he's been leading by example and effort exactly the way you'd want a guy like him to be.

The Giannis finish is an all timer.

Hat tip to Brook for having a huge impact. One rebound tonight and no one noticed.

We literally just need to not shoot like **** **** and this series is a wrap. Like just hit 32, 33% of your 3s and we have this. If we're even 35% against the West team in the finals we have a good shot.

How much credit should he get for doing the obvious?

People praise Giannis for finally playing like a superstar in the playoffs Bud deserves it too

I know half of this comment is about Bud, but I’ve never fully understood the narrative that Giannis has been terrible in the playoffs. This article agrees with me. Says he's putting up historical numbers in the playoffs., and not just this year

This feels a lot like the BOS series in 2019, even down to the chucking PG who we figured out after game 1. Difference being that ATL doesn't have other playmakers/reliable ball handlers when Young goes to the bench.

Meeting him half a step higher made a world of difference.

Young could probably blow by Brook in those situations if he wanted it but I'm not convinced he's a confident enough finisher at the ring, esspecially knowing help would likely come in the form of Giannis.

the traffic at the rim when he blew by was causing all sorts of turnovers. he has 100x harder time in traffic at the rim with lopez chasing then shooting those 30 free throw looking looks in open space we gave him in the first game

100%.

8/14 on uncontested floaters is a good head start towards 48

Ya, the revisionist history on Giannis is baffling. He has been amazing. Take away his 3 point attempts and he is nearly flawless. But remember, just a few games ago there were posters proposing Giannis trades, because they said he was so dumb.

I was at the game tonight. My impressions:

1) Crowd-Sitting directly behind me was Jim Paschke and Dave Babcock, longtime Bucks scout. They were in the first row of the suite and I was in the last row of the lower deck. I tried talking to Babcock and he was very friendly, but it was so loud I couldn't understand a word he said. Great crowd.

2) Lots of people around me flew in from Atlanta. They were counting on Giannis's free throws and Giannis shot them before they reached ten.

3) Bud was roundly booed during introductions. First time I've ever heard that. Knowledgeable crowd.

Bucks have too much talent and experience for this series to go far, so if Bud keeps the pressure up rather than the passive drop scheme, we'll be all right.

was at game 1 and game 2 vs atl.
in G1, the fans and vibe from the players was poor. no excitement. no enthusiasm.
G2, the fans were way better, and it helped that the Bucks were making their shots.

the changes on defense were great to see.
higher positioning on our defensive big, Lopez most of the time.
going over the screen.
the defensive player on the high wing, on the PnR side, shaded into the lane, to take away the clear drive from TY.
which u can easily do if theres another defender in the corner. he can now guard 2 guys on the strong side of the court.
full court pickup.
its not major pressure but, it eats away at the shot clock. those 2 or 3 seconds r a big deal when you are trying to run a play.
also, it makes TY and Hue and the ball handers have to exert more energy.

i hope another defensive wrinkle gets show in game 3. something like, our big in the PnR flashes high, and forces the ball out of TYs hands. followed by occasional double/trap, when the PnR action is on the wing.

3-17 FG, 6 TO in his only regular season game against the Bucks this year on April 15.

Shocked how many random celebs were there.

Ciara is a Hawks fan and Russ played in WI. Chance the Rapper was a unique one.
