Yeah this is dumb. I would back us to get his head sorted by the playoffs, he's a productive player which we need in the regular season.

Maybe this is good news about Lopez.

That's the only justifiable reason for this. Is if there's some Covid Luxury Tax loophole we're taking advantage of. Unfortunately, I think we're just being cheap. The thought that we'd waive him crossed my mind when it was announced we signed Kornet. I thought to myself, no, that would be really stupid. Welp, here we are anyway.

Horst wasn't going to say:

"Boogie did some great things for us on the floor, but we confirmed he is indeed an a$$hole which will be especially problematic when we have to cut his playing time."

Did a Google search, as I was trying to think of comparable NBA head cases to toss our for reference. Found this article.

Ironically Boogie was listed as #1.

Personally, i think he probably pissed off Giannis somehow.

He is one of your top 10 players. You dont cut that guy unless he dun sumthin to pizz off the king.

Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Boogie to be waived

Post#126 » by M-C-G » Thu Jan 6, 2022 5:47 am

Most likely reason I can gather is from Horst comment is that Cousins needed a team and agreed to sign knowing he was not going to get guaranteed. Then it worked better than expected and we gave him a chance to get a bigger or better deal and we are honestly open to having him back, but just feels like this is part if the deal we made with him.

PP, no need to troll with this ****. We get it, you didn't like Boogie. But digging up 10 year old articles written by a guy whose second to last Bleacher Report(!) article was why Greg Oden was a perfect free agent gamble for the LeBron James(!) Heat is next level water carrying.

If he was a menace in the locker room, why play him so many minutes? They could have just Dnp'd every game until the 7th and then just moved on.

It most likely was just money, they signed him to a non-guaranteed contract a month before they had to guarantee it for a reason. I don’t think it had anything to do with his attitude or pissing of Giannis or anything.

I'm just going to assume we've got a trade for a different big lined up and Cousins has a deal lined up elsewhere.

I think it's as simple as them believing they'll find a better fit on the buyout market than DMC. I liked having him around though.

The guy is playing for you every night, though. Why would you cut him now for someone better who might become available in a month? You're not going to hedge that bet by keeping the guy you've got until you know you can replace him? I don't buy it. There's something imminent or they're cheap.

Cousins release upsets me. He is good, especially inside on offense. I am tired of watching our entire team minus Giannis and Jrue, continually chucking up 3 pointers. Anytime the 3 s don’t fall enough, we lose, like the last two very winnable games. Cousins’ inside game was something I enjoyed watching. Now back to the barrage of 3 point bricking.

I wonder if it was Horst or the owners behind the Boogie decision. If it is Horst, it would really bring down my high opinion of him. If it is the owners, it would be very frustrating.

I don't like it and I don't get it.

Give Horst and ownership time. Let’s see what happens to the roster between now and trade deadline.

Have you heard something recently with him and the Bucks or just basing this off his past?

His past. One of my alternate teams a few years back was the Kings. Followed them hard. He blew up that locker room. Doesn’t mean the Kings are well run. But he’s not a popular teammate or coaches favorite.

Sure looks like everyone hates him

Just so foul...you don't think other players are seeing this? After doing Tucker dirty?

Not too worried about Boogie hurting us somewhere else but it seemed like he had a roster spot locked up. Guess it’s Kornet’s turn, he’s a better rim protector and 3 point shooter. Hopefully Brook is back soon and Semi never sees the light of day ever again.
