Yes im still salty about that Donte trade btw.

I will be glad to be slammed on "Freezing Cold Takes" a year or two from now. But for me at least, all I've seen in these four games is that MarJon could probably be a good 8th man in a regular rotation, ala Corey Brewer, or bit better version of him.

I think most of us would and i get the idea a lots are excited and very hopeful about finding a young talent that can contribute hence why they might see more of our players with brighter optimism.

This is also why i never take Summer League into account, yes its nice to get some pointers and stuff but i tend to draw first impressions during regular season. I think Thon Maker was enough for me in this lifetime

I have no doubt the NBA players with contracts want to show well in summer league. However, everyone needs to realize that most players in summer league are playing for their basketball lives. Much different motivation, and they get unlimited fouls. The product is not surprising.

Marjon Beauchamp: He'd be offended by being called a 3 & D player and he should be. It's really the label you get when you kinda suck at everything offensively except shooting. So, I guess to keep hope alive, it's easy to say he's miscast in SL. But I don't even see the 3, or the D either. I'm not optimistic.

I see him as a very passive player who handles are very loose and a streaky shooter.

Yeah it's pretty funny. People over rate college prospects and are surprised when they get thrown together and can't play as there's no system. I think having a good guard and skilled big man is pretty key in SL. Then we have Tacko Fall, with one rebound in 17 minutes despite being the size of two people.

Our performance should be expected if we throw together a stack of high-upside together. If we want to win this, get a heap of older college/overseas guys.

No one here is complaining about the W-L results. It is what your are seeing (or not seeing) on the court from individual players.

I understand, but I think there's a difference between not being world beaters and being a steaming pile of poo. Marjon's looked better this year, AJJ has had some highlight plays, the other guys have flashed. I just remember Thon looking completely lost in his second stint.

Orlando Robinson destroyed our hopes just like David Harrison before him.

The fact that we're saying at least he's looked better than Thon, though, is a bit concerning. I agree, but he's probably looked worse or equal to year two Nwora and Vaughn. I was kind of hoping our 22 year old with 13 mpg of NBA experience and 11 starts would stand out a bit more.

The AJJ and Livingston picks looking really bad.

Thats PP i said the AJJ was bad 1 week ago and was bashed for it.

I'm pretty sure that will end up being a poor take.

I still have faith in AJJ carving out a role in this league-- he thrives when playing with real scorers, which he is not. He sees the game at an NBA speed. Livingston looks like the classic "fits the physical profile" non-contributor.
